Call it a gimbal pot light, an adjustable 4-inch recessed downlight, a directional LED recessed downlight or simply an aimable pot light — it's the fixture homeowners, renovators and contractors reach for when a fixed downlight just won't do. With 360° rotation and 80° of tilt, it washes a stone fireplace, grazes a feature wall, follows a sloped ceiling line or lights a kitchen island exactly on target. It's a colour selectable downlight too, so one box covers warm cozy rooms and crisp task areas alike.

Under the hood, a 9 watt LED module delivers up to 1010 lumens at up to 112 lumens per watt, with a beautiful typical CRI of 96 that makes wood tones, paint colours and skin tones look true. The 5-position CCT switch gives you five selectable colour temperatures — 2700 K (868 lumens), 3000 K (927), 3500 K (971), 4000 K (1010) and 5000 K (982) — and the 36° beam spread keeps the light controlled. It runs on 100-135V AC, 60Hz through a dimmable Class II driver, dims smoothly from 100% to 10% on standard TRIAC/ELV dimmers, and is rated for wet locations, direct contact with insulation and airtight installation. cETLus certified, Energy Star and Title 24 compliant, with a projected life of 70% at 50,000 hours, a 0.95 power factor and a lifetime warranty. Cutout is Ø 4 1/4" (108 mm).

Built to be aimed
The ORBIT gimbal starts with a durable aluminum body that turns a full 360° and tilts up to 80°, so a row of downlights can be aligned perfectly or fanned across artwork, millwork and feature walls. The brushed nickel trim (BN) is one of three finishes offered in this family — black, brushed nickel and white — and the compact profile keeps the fixture discreet once installed. Physical dimensions from the spec sheet: 4 15/16" (125 mm) overall, 4 3/16" (106 mm) and 3 15/32" (88 mm) sections, a 3 3/8" (85 mm) depth element, 1 7/16" (37 mm) and 15/16" (34 mm) details, with a required hole cut of Ø 4 1/4" (108 mm).

The lens delivers a 36° beam spread for controlled, glare-aware pools of light, and the 5 position CCT switch lets you pick 2700 K, 3000 K, 3500 K, 4000 K or 5000 K on site. Electrical and installation details
The extruded aluminum hardwire box houses a 210 mA dimmable Class II electronic LED driver with a 100-135V, 60Hz AC input and a 0.95 power factor. A 15" (381 mm) FT6 rated cable with a 3-pin DC connector links the driver to the fixture and is approved for use in plenums and suspended ceilings. Three quick connect push-in terminals speed up wiring, and two spring loaded clips let the fixture mount in any ceiling material. Dimming runs 100% to 10% with industry standard TRIAC/ELV dimmers. The fixture is suitable for wet locations, approved for direct contact with insulation, airtight, indoor/outdoor rated and operates from -40°C to 40°C (-40°F to 104°F).
