Made for thin materials
Conventional profile brackets need a certain thickness of material to hold. The #88 takes another route: its dorsal rail and butterfly clips allow it to be attached to thin materials that do not have sufficient thickness for conventional brackets. Think of thin shelves, display panels, furniture components or sign boards, places where mounting an LED profile used to be a headache. Designed for surface or suspended installation, it also gives designers more freedom from the very first sketch.
Aluminum for indoor and outdoor projects
Made of 6063-T5 aluminum, the #88 is designed to make the light source invisible, so the eye sees a line of light rather than the strip itself. It accommodates a variety of white and colour RGB and RGBW LED strips, can be installed indoors or outdoors, and comes in a plain aluminum finish that can be painted to match your decor. The ordering guide also lists two lenses, opaque or black, and end caps with a hole, without a hole, or one of each.
Installing a 16 ft run
This SKU, LCPROF-88-16FT, is the 16 ft length: perfect for long walls, counters and ceilings, with fewer joints to line up. Plan the layout with the technical drawing of the spec sheet, which gives the dimensions in millimetres and inches; the butterfly clips work with the dorsal rail to secure the profile, for easy and secure installation. Plan an accessible location for the LED power supply, choose an LED strip rated for the location on outdoor projects, and leave line-voltage connections to a licensed electrician.
