Why a black profile?
On dark cladding, black window frames or a charcoal ceiling, a silver channel catches the eye and breaks the design. The black #145 solves this: the black LED profile blends into the surface, so attention stays on the light, not on the hardware. It keeps all the strengths of the biggest profile of the 100 series line: specially designed for outdoor use, room for all the IP68 LED engines of the line, a new sliding lens design and a support rail that goes from fixed to suspended mounting.
Light quality and heat management
With a prime lens, the profile is designed to give a uniform light without hot spots. The ordering guide of the series lists prime, opal, black, focus and square 3D prime lenses, plus a high efficiency reflector; for an all-black look, the black lens is worth considering. The 6063-T5 aluminum alloy increases heat dissipation, and its use increases the lifetime of your LED engine, a real plus for lighting that runs every night.
Installation and accessories
The ordering guide lists swivel brackets (180° and heavy duty), a phantom bracket, a magnetic kit, surface brackets (1-side, 2-side, 90° and 45°) and a suspension kit. Canopies, only available with the suspension bracket, come as a remote driver canopy plate, an integrated driver canopy or an integrated driver and suspension kit, each offered in black. A black 90° corner (6 x 6 in) and a straight joiner complete a continuous frame, and a gypsum groove accessory (1/2 in, 4 ft) allows a recessed LED channel in drywall; joiners are ordered separately. Have any line-voltage connection made by a licensed electrician.
