Why choose a black profile?
On dark surfaces, a bare aluminum channel can catch the eye and break the lines of a design. The black version of the 14 series solves this: the black LED profile blends into black cabinets, charcoal ceilings, dark wood and metal fixtures, so attention stays on the light, not on the hardware. It keeps all the strengths of the series, a small profile that holds its own among the big ones, with even lighting, beam adjustment and a considerably larger choice of installation options, from fixed to suspended mounting.
Light quality and heat management
Designed to give a uniform light without hot spots with an opal or prime lens, the #14 turns an LED strip into a smooth, continuous line. The ordering guide of the series lists clear, prime, black, focus and square 3D opal lenses; for an all-black look, the black lens is an option worth considering. Made of 6063-T5 aluminum alloy, the profile increases heat dissipation, and its use increases the lifetime of your LED strip.
Installation and accessories
Compatible with multiple installation accessories (over 40 options), the black #14 can be fixed, angled or suspended. The ordering guide lists a flat bracket, a 45° corner bracket and a swivel bracket 180° to aim the light toward a backsplash, a bottle display or a work surface. It is intended for LED strips 10 mm (3/8-inch) wide or less and designed to meet North American woodworking standards. Follow the instructions of your LED strip and its driver, and have any line-voltage connection made by a licensed electrician.
