The ATK08-SL is an 8-foot single circuit track lighting section from LITELINE's ATK series, an extruded aluminum rail in a clean Silver finish that serves as the backbone of any A-Line style track lighting system. People call it a lighting track, a track rail, a track bar or simply the channel that track lighting heads clip into — whatever you call it, it is the piece that lets you add, move and re-aim fixtures as your space changes. This is a single circuit power distribution system built from 0.06" extruded aluminum, with a PVC bus bar support holding 12 gauge round bus bars and copper conductors concealed inside a low-profile thermo-plastic section. Single hot and neutral conductors are rated for a maximum capacity of 20 Amps, meaning 2400 watts per circuit at 120V — plenty of headroom to fill a long run with LED heads. A polarity groove on the face of the track marks the location of the grounding conductor so orientation is never a guessing game. The extrusion measures 5⁄8" (16mm) by 1 3⁄8" (35mm) in profile and the ATK08 offers a nominal 8' length. It is cULus listed, surface mounted with the supplied mounting hardware, suspended mounting is possible with accessories ordered separately, and it is backed by a 5 year warranty.

The ATK series is an extruded aluminum track designed for use with A-Line track fixtures, and the ATK08-SL is the 8-foot Silver version. The body is formed from 0.06" extruded aluminum — rigid enough to run straight across a long ceiling without sagging between mounting points, light enough for one person to handle on a ladder. Inside, a 0.045" PVC bus bar support holds 12 gauge round bus bars, and the copper electrical conductors stay concealed in a low-profile thermo-plastic track section. A polarity groove runs along the face of the track to indicate the location of the grounding conductor, which makes it simple to keep multiple sections oriented the same way on a long run.

Electrical capacity and safety

Installation and accessories
Surface mounting is the standard method and the required mounting hardware is supplied. For open ceilings, lofts or high commercial spaces, suspended mounting is available using accessories ordered separately: hollow suspension rod kits such as RODF and RODR, the ATKXW track suspension rod system, the ATKA250 4.75" sloped ceiling canopy kit for track down-rods, and the ATKM420 and ATKM421 suspension kits with aircraft cable. Power and layout come from the ATK connector family — the ATKC01 single circuit 'I' connector, the ATKC05 flexible connector, the ATKP02 'L' and 'I' power feed, the ATKP03 'T' feed, the ATKP04-1C 'X' feed, the ATKP09 live end power feed, the ATKP10 wired end feed with plug-in cord, the ATKP08 center feed and the ATKP11 live end feed with canopy cover. Current limiters ATKPCL-06-1C, ATKPCL-09-1C and ATKPCL-11-1C are offered with 1~14 amp options. Pendant use is covered too, with the ATKA310 chain pendant adapter, the ATKA31A cord adapter, the ATKA321 receptacle that accepts 3-prong plugs and the ATKA320 track hook rated for a 7lb maximum weight.
