LL SERIES FOR LIGHT RESIDENTIAL APPLICATIONS - TK6002-BK

SKU: TK6002-BK

Brand: LITELINE

Give your lighting a direction — literally. The LL Series track rail TK6002-BK from LITELINE is a 2-foot black track lighting rail, the backbone of any track lighting system you build over a kitchen island, a gallery wall or a retail display. People call it a track section, a track bar, a lighting rail or simply a "track for track light heads" — it's all the same thing: an extruded aluminum channel that carries power along its length so you can clip on heads wherever the light is needed, then slide them over when the furniture moves. This is the LL Series, made for light residential applications and small commercial projects, and it accepts the full family of LITELINE track accessories and connectors, so a single rail can grow into an L, a T, a cross or a suspended run later on.

Built from 1⁄32" die cast aluminum with 3⁄64" PVC insulators holding 12 gauge flat conductor wiring, this rail is solid where it counts. The copper electrical conductors are concealed in a low-profile insulating thermoplastic cross-section, and a polarity groove on the face of the track shows you exactly where the grounding conductor sits — no guesswork when you snap in a head. It's a 1-circuit track for 120V applications, with single hot and neutral conductors rated 20 Amps per branch circuit; system electrical rating is 20A, 120V, 60Hz. Length is 24" (610mm), with a slim profile measuring 1 3⁄8" (35mm) wide and ¾" (21mm) high. The finish here is BK, black, for a crisp graphic line on a white ceiling or a discreet disappearing act on a dark one.

A 2-foot section is the sweet spot for a short run: above a bathroom vanity, over a breakfast nook, along a hallway of framed photos, behind a café counter or in a boutique fitting room. Canadian homeowners love it for basement renos and open-concept condos where recessed cans aren't an option; contractors love that sections join together with any compatible connector to follow a room's shape. Need the same rail in another colour? See the LL Series track TK6002-WH, the brushed nickel TK6002-BN or the silver TK6002-SL. Want it ready to go with heads? Look at the black track kit TK6002-BK-KIT2. Order your TK6002-BK and start pointing light where it belongs.

Construction you can trust overhead
The TK6002 is an extruded aluminum track with flat, solid integral conductors rated at 20 amps. The extrusion is 1⁄32" die cast aluminum, and inside it, 3⁄64" PVC insulators hold 12 gauge flat conductor wiring in place. That combination keeps the rail rigid over its span while keeping the electrical path clean and stable — important when heads get repositioned dozens of times over the life of a room. The copper electrical conductors are concealed inside an insulating thermoplastic cross-section, so nothing live is exposed once the rail is up, and the low-profile shape keeps the whole assembly visually quiet against the ceiling. A polarity groove is located on the face of the track to indicate the location of the grounding conductor, which makes orienting each head foolproof.

Electrical and installation details
This is a single-circuit 120V track: track lighting is a single circuit electrical distribution system designed to supply power to lighting units in flexible ways. Single hot and neutral conductors are rated for 20 Amps per branch circuit, and the system electrical rating is 20A, 120V, 60Hz. Feed options are part of the accessory family: a live-end (LE6110) provides power from the end of the track with no canopy, a live-end with canopy (LE6111) feeds the end of the track from a junction box, a wired-end (WE6110) draws power from a receptacle, and a center feed (CF6108) provides power anywhere along the track from a junction box and includes a canopy cover. The CA6106 live-end conduit feed with 7⁄8" knockout handles top or end feed. Always finish an open run with the TK6000-END end cap. Accessories are sold separately.

Shaping the run: connectors and suspension
Sections join together using any of the compatible track connectors, so the geometry of your track lighting system is entirely up to you. The IC6101 I-connector joins two sections at 180° for a longer straight run, the LC6102 L-connector turns a corner at 90°, the TC6103 T-connector brings three sections together at 90°, and the XC6104 X-connector links four sections at 90° for a cross layout over an island or a sales floor. For anything that isn't a right angle, the FC6105 flexible connector joins two sections at varying angles. When the ceiling is too high or a vault gets in the way, the TDR62 hollow stem rod kit suspends the track and includes a ceiling canopy, mounting brackets and hardware; RODR62 hollow stem rods suspend track from the ceiling, while RODF62 hollow stem rods are for track fixtures. The Liteline track system is compatible with all Liteline track accessories and connectors.

Where it earns its keep, and what's in the Documentation tab
In a home, a 2-foot black rail is perfect over a vanity, a reading corner, a kitchen peninsula or a stairwell wall of artwork — and it's the practical answer in condos and older Canadian houses where cutting into a concrete or plaster ceiling for recessed pot lights isn't realistic. In small businesses, short sections light a jewellery case, a coffee bar, a salon station or a window display, and the heads pivot as the merchandise changes. Match the finish across a project with the TK6002-SL silver track or the TK6002-WH white track, or start from the complete TK6002-BK-KIT2 track kit. The full TK6002-BK spec sheet, with technical drawings, the ordering guide and the accessory list, is available in the Documentation tab of this page.
