Built to last, built to stay discreetThe LL Series rail is an extruded aluminum track made from 1⁄32" die cast aluminum, with 3⁄64" PVC insulators that hold the flat conductor wiring securely in place. That sandwich of metal and insulation is what lets a
track lighting rail stay slim while carrying real current: the copper electrical conductors are concealed inside an insulating thermoplastic low-profile cross-section, so all you see on the ceiling is a clean line in
brushed nickel. The polarity groove moulded into the face of the track tells the installer at a glance where the grounding conductor is located, which removes the guesswork when you cut in a feed or add a second section.
Electrical and installation detailsThis is a 1-circuit track for 120V applications. The single hot and neutral conductors are rated for 20 Amps per branch circuit, and the system electrical rating is 20A, 120V, 60Hz. Track lighting is a single circuit electrical distribution system designed to supply power to lighting units in flexible ways — in other words, one feed point powers every head you hang on the run. Power can enter at the end with a live-end (LE6110), with a live-end and canopy from a junction box (LE6111), from a receptacle with a wired-end (WE6110), anywhere along the run with the CF6108 centre feed and its canopy cover, or through the CA6106 live-end conduit feed with its 7⁄8" knockout for top or end feed. Finish the open end with a TK6000-END end cap — one of the most searched items in any
track lighting project.

Shaping the run: connectors and suspensionSections join together using any of the compatible track connectors, and the LITELINE track system is compatible with all LITELINE track accessories and connectors. Use the IC6101 I-connector to continue straight at 180°, the LC6102 L-connector to turn a corner at 90°, the TC6103 T-connector to feed three sections at 90°, the XC6104 X-connector for a four-way crossing, or the FC6105 flexible connector when two sections meet at an odd angle — handy in an older Montréal triplex where nothing is perfectly square. To drop the run below a high or sloped ceiling, the TDR62 hollow stem rod kit includes the ceiling canopy, mounting brackets and hardware; the RODR62 rod suspends the track from the ceiling and the RODF62 rod is for track fixtures. Other lengths of the same rail exist in the family — TK6004 at 48" (1219 mm), TK6006 at 72" (1829 mm), TK6008 at 96" (2438 mm) and TK6012 at 144" (3658 mm) — so long rooms can be built from a mix of sections.
Where it works and what's in the documentsContractors use short 2-ft rails above kitchen islands and peninsulas, in entryways, over bathroom vanities in a dressing area, along a gallery wall of family photos, above a bar cart, or to light merchandise in a boutique, a café counter, a salon station or a small showroom. Because heads slide anywhere along the channel, a retail owner can re-merchandise a display in minutes without calling an electrician. If you want the full package rather than the rail alone, the same 2-ft section is offered as a bundle in
Track kit TK6002-WH-KIT2 and
Track kit TK6002-BK-KIT2, and the matching finishes are the
TK6002-BK track section and the
TK6002-SL track section. The TK6002-BN spec sheet, with the technical drawings, ordering guide and full accessory list, is available in the Documentation tab. Note that accessories are sold separately.
