The ATK02-BK from LITELINE is a 2-foot single circuit track section in black, the backbone of any track lighting system for homes, shops and offices. People look for it under many names — track lighting rail, lighting track bar, track head rail, or simply "the track that the heads clip into" — and it all points to the same thing: an extruded aluminum channel that carries power along its length so you can slide, aim and add fixtures whenever the room changes. Part of the ATK series, this track is made for use with A-Line track fixtures and is offered in 2', 4', 6', 8' and 12' nominal lengths, so a short 2-foot run over an island, a reading nook or a small retail display is just as easy to build as a full gallery wall.

Built for real installations, the ATK02-BK is constructed of 0.06" extruded aluminum with a PVC bus bar support holding 12 gauge round bus bars, and a polarity groove on the face of the track indicates the location of the grounding conductor — no guesswork when you connect a feed. The single circuit power distribution system carries single hot and neutral conductors rated for a maximum capacity of 20 Amps (2400 watts per circuit) at 120V, with copper electrical conductors concealed in a thermo-plastic, low-profile track section that keeps the ceiling line clean. It measures 5⁄8" (16mm) high by 1 3⁄8" (35mm) wide, with a length of 20 1⁄8" (511mm) excluding end caps. It is cULus listed, surface mounted using the supplied mounting hardware, and backed by a 5 year warranty. Suspended mounting is available with accessories ordered separately.

Solid extrusion, clean lines
The ATK series is an extruded aluminum track designed for use with A-Line track fixtures, and the ATK02-BK is the 2-foot black version. The body is constructed of 0.06" extruded aluminum with a PVC bus bar support holding 12 gauge round bus bars, a build that keeps the rail straight over its run and holds the conductors firmly in place. A polarity groove runs along the face of the track to indicate the location of the grounding conductor, which makes orienting sections, connectors and track heads quick and consistent from one run to the next. The low-profile thermo-plastic track section conceals the copper electrical conductors, so what shows on the ceiling is a slim black line rather than hardware.

Electrical capacity and safety
This is a single circuit power distribution system designed to supply lighting units flexibly. Single hot and neutral conductors are rated for a maximum capacity of 20 Amps (2400 watts per circuit) at 120V, which gives you plenty of headroom to load a 2-foot section with LED heads today and add more later without rethinking the circuit. The product is cULus listed and comes with a 5 year warranty. For jobs where the circuit must be limited, the ATK series offers current limiters with 1~14 amp options: the ATKPCL-06-1C single circuit live end narrow current limiter, the ATKPCL-09-1C single circuit dual live end canopy current limiter and the ATKPCL-11-1C single circuit live end canopy current limiter.

Installation and compatibility
The track is surface mounted using the supplied mounting hardware, directly to the ceiling or to a wall. Suspended installations are covered by accessories ordered separately, including the RODR 12" hollow stem rod, the RODF hollow suspension rod kit, the ATKA250 4.75" sloped ceiling canopy kit for use with track down-rods 2"-96", the ATKM420 track suspension kit with 180" aircraft cable and the ATKM421 universal track suspension kit with 250" aircraft cable. Power comes in through connectors and feeds such as the ATKP09 single circuit live end power feed, the ATKP10 single circuit wired end power feed with 15' plug-in cord, the ATKP08 single circuit center feed, the ATKP11 live end power feed with canopy cover, or the ATKP02 'L' and 'I' feed connector; runs are joined and shaped with the ATKC01 'I' connector, the ATKC05 flexible connector, the ATKP03 'T' feed and the ATKP04-1C 'X' feed. The system is compatible with all A-Line and Juno style track fixtures, accessories and connectors. Note that the 12-foot option is not available in the US; an 8-foot section with a 4-foot section and a joiner achieves a 12-foot run.
