Built to disappear into the millworkThe #2000 SCOOP is a
mini recessed LED puck with a scoop-style trim: the angled collar shields the diode from direct view and pushes the light forward, which is exactly what you want over a shelf edge or inside a display case. The black trim blends into dark cabinetry and matte black hardware, a finish that keeps showing up in Canadian kitchens and commercial millwork. The fixture body stays compact — 50 mm / 1.967", 29 mm / 1.142" and 27 mm / 1.063" according to the technical drawing — so it fits in tight shelf thicknesses and slim valances where a surface puck would look bulky.
Light quality and colourThis version is the
RGB model: you control the colour to set the mood, from a warm accent behind a bar to a cool wash in a retail vitrine. With
125 lumens out of a single
1 W LED, it equals a 20-watt incandescent while staying cool and efficient. The
CRI above 80 keeps colours honest on wood, stone, glass and packaging, and the
25° projection angle gives you a focused accent beam instead of spill. It is
dimmable, so you can drop the level for evening ambiance without changing fixtures.

Electrical and installationThis is a
low-voltage 12/24 V DC fixture, so it needs an LED driver or power supply sized for the total load of the run — count 1 W per puck plus a margin, and keep the driver's output voltage matched to the way you wire the group. For RGB colour control, plan an RGB-capable controller and keep the wiring polarity consistent from puck to puck. Drilling is simple: a
35 mm / 1.378" cutout in the shelf, the cabinet bottom or the valance, then pass the wire and seat the puck. The
IP67 rating is a real advantage in bathrooms, near sinks, in basements and in outdoor-adjacent millwork, because splashes and humidity will not shorten its life.
Where it works, and what goes with itThink under-cabinet task lighting in a kitchen, pantry and closet shelving, bathroom vanities and medicine cabinets, stair and hallway markers, bar backs, jewellery and boutique display cases, restaurant banquettes, reception desks and trade show booths. For a coordinated project, the same PK2000 platform gives you other looks: the
LED puck light #2000 round 1 side for directional grazing, the
LED puck #2000 louver RGB black for an anti-glare shielded trim, or the same scoop in white light with the
4000K black version and the
3000K black version. The full technical PDF (dimensions, cutout, trim options and product codes) is in the Documentation tab of this page — worth a look before you drill.
