Built to disappear into the millworkThe #2000 SCOOP is a recessed
mini puck light designed to sit flush in wood, MDF, melamine or shelving with nothing showing but a clean round trim in a
brushed stainless-look nickel finish. The scoop trim is the key detail: one side of the face is cut away so the beam leans out of the housing, washing a backsplash, a wall panel or the face of a shelf instead of firing straight down onto a glossy counter. That makes it an elegant fix for the classic complaint about
under cabinet lighting — reflections and hot spots on polished quartz or glass.
Light quality you can actually cook and shop underAt
125 lumens from only
1 watt, each puck replaces a 20 W incandescent while barely touching your electrical budget. The
3000K warm white colour temperature keeps oak, walnut, brass and warm stone looking rich, and the
CRI greater than 80 renders skin tones, produce and merchandise honestly — important in a bathroom mirror zone or a retail display. The 25º projection angle is narrow and controlled, which is exactly what you want for accent work: tight, repeatable pools of light rather than a flat wash. A
power factor above 90 and a
25 000 hour rated lifespan round out a fixture meant to stay in service for years.

Wiring and installationInstallation is straightforward low-voltage work: bore a
35 mm / 1.378" cutout with a hole saw, feed the leads through, seat the puck and connect the run to a
12 or 24 V DC power supply sized for the total wattage of all the pucks on the circuit. Because the fixture is
dimmable, pair it with a driver and control method suited to low-voltage LED dimming, and keep every puck on the run at the same voltage. The
IP67 protection rating is a real advantage in wet or humid spots — vanity cabinets, shower niches, bar counters, outdoor kitchens under cover and basement wet bars where condensation is a fact of life in Canadian homes.
Where it works, and what pairs with itThink of it in rows under kitchen uppers, inside glass-door display cabinets and trophy cases, along a stair stringer, above a headboard, in a walk-in closet, under a reception desk toe-kick, or inside a retail showcase, a bakery counter or a hotel millwork feature. Within the same family you can mix trims to suit each zone: the
Scoop 4000K in black for a cooler, contrasted look, the
Scoop RGB for colour-changing display work, the
LED puck #2000 Louver in black when you need extra glare control, or the
Round 1 Side in 4000K for one-directional accenting. The full technical PDF (LCPK2000R-RT-SCOOP-1W-3000K-BN Spec Sheet), with the technical drawing, cutout dimension and trim options, is available in the Documentation tab so you can hand it straight to your cabinetmaker or electrician.
