Built small, built to lastThe #2000 SCOOP is a recessed
mini puck light designed to disappear into millwork. Its round trim with a scooped, angled face directs the beam outward rather than straight down, which is exactly what you want under a shelf, inside a display case or along a toe-kick where a downward beam would just hit the counter. The black trim keeps the fixture visually quiet against dark cabinetry and stained wood, and the IP67 protection rating means moisture, steam and the occasional splash are not a problem — a real advantage in kitchens, bathrooms, bars and outdoor kitchens under cover.
Light quality that flattersAt 3000K, the light is a warm white that makes oak, walnut, brass and warm paint look rich instead of clinical. A CRI greater than 80 keeps reds and skin tones natural, which matters when you are lighting food prep, a wine display or merchandise on a shelf. With 125 lumens from only 1 watt — the equivalent of a 20 watt incandescent lamp — and a narrow 25° projection angle, each puck lays down a defined accent beam rather than a flat wash, so a row of them creates that classic rhythm of scallops along a backsplash or shelf.

Wiring and installationThis is a low-voltage fixture: it needs a 12 V or 24 V DC power supply, so plan a
LED driver or transformer with enough capacity for the number of pucks on the circuit — at 1 watt each, you can run a generous row on a small supply. Drill a clean 35 mm hole in the cabinet bottom, shelf or panel, feed the lead through and seat the trim. Because it is dimmable, pair it with a dimming driver or a compatible low-voltage dimmer to go from full task light to a soft evening glow. Keep the driver accessible in a cabinet, a bulkhead or a mechanical space for future service.
Where it works, and what it works withThink
kitchen under cabinet lighting, island overhangs, pantry and closet shelving, bathroom vanity cabinets, jewellery and retail display cases, bar backs, restaurant banquettes, reception desks, stair nosings and hallway niches — residential renovations and commercial fit-outs alike. Across Canada, the IP67 rating also makes it a smart pick for covered porches, cottage kitchens and three-season rooms where humidity swings hard. Need a different look in the same project? Match it with the
LED puck #2000 persienne louver trim for glare control, the
LED puck light #2000 round 1 side for directional cuts, or stay in the SCOOP family with the
3000K brushed nickel version and the
RGB black version for colour-changing accents. The full technical PDF spec sheet is in the Documentation tab for dimensions, cutout and wiring details.
