Two openings, twice the effect
The PK2000 family of mini recessed LED pucks offers round, square, 1-side, 2-side and louver trims. This model pairs a round body with a 2-side trim: the light exits in two directions, so the result depends on how you orient it. With the openings facing sideways, it lights a walkway or a corridor both ways; with the openings facing up and down, it draws a decorative accent on a wall or a column. The brushed steel finish gives the fixture a clean architectural presence that suits stone, concrete, wood and metal.
Warm, efficient light
Each puck produces 125 lumens for only 1 watt, comparable to a 20-watt incandescent according to the spec sheet, which makes it ideal for accent and guidance lighting. The 3000K warm white is flattering on landscaping, brick and wood, and it keeps a cozy atmosphere indoors. A CRI above 80 preserves natural colours and the 25° projection angle gives well-defined light. The puck is dimmable, so you can dial in a discreet night-time glow or a brighter setting when entertaining.
Installation and protection
This is a low-voltage fixture: the spec sheet lists 12/24 V DC, so it must be powered by an appropriate LED driver and never connected directly to line voltage. For dimming, select a dimmable driver and a compatible dimmer. It requires a 35 mm cutout (1.378 inches), a small opening that is easy to make in a wall, a post, a riser or a fascia. The IP67 rating means it is dust-tight and protected against water, which suits entrances, balconies, decks and bathrooms. Plan the orientation of the trim, the driver location and the cable path before drilling, respect local electrical code and have a qualified electrician make the line-voltage connections.

Where it makes a difference
Set a series of pucks into a low garden wall to light the path on both sides, add them to the columns of a porch or a carport, light a stair landing, or line a long hallway with soft wall accent lights.
