This configuration of the 85 series combines a white aluminum body with an opaque lens. On a white ceiling or cabinet, the profile nearly disappears, and once the lens is in place, the strip becomes a smooth line of light instead of a row of bright dots. It is the go-to combination for bright interiors where both the fixture and the light source should stay discreet.

Versatile and easy to install
The 85 series is easy to install and ideal for residential or commercial projects. The profile can be mounted, suspended or glued to a surface, and these LED extrusions made of 6063-T5 aluminum can be installed indoors and outdoors. It accommodates a variety of white and coloured LED strips, RGB and RGBW included, and the aluminum can be painted if your colour scheme changes.

Ordering and installation tips
This SKU is the 16 ft standard length; the series also comes in 8 ft lengths, and custom fabrication up to 192 inches is available. The ordering guide lists a standard mounting and a swivel mounting to aim the light, plus end caps with no hole, with a hole, or one of each. Compare the strip width with the technical drawing, plan the wire exits and the power supply location, clean the channel, stick the strip, then install the lens. Line-voltage connections belong to a licensed electrician, in accordance with the Canadian Electrical Code.

Applications
Under white kitchen cabinets, it provides soft task lighting, the lens keeping bare LED dots from reflecting on glossy countertops; along a bathroom vanity or inside a closet, it adds a gentle glow; across the ceiling of an office, a clinic or a daycare, it creates clean linear lighting. Retailers use it to light white shelving and wall displays. For shorter sections of the same project, the series includes the LED aluminum profile #85 in 8 ft.
