Built to last, built to stay cool
Heat is what kills an LED bulb, and this one is designed around that. The aluminum casing acts as a heat sink that carries warmth away from the diodes so brightness and colour stay consistent over the bulb's 35 000 hours of rated life. Inside, the light comes from Epistar SMD LED chips, a surface-mount format that spreads the light sources across the face of the lamp instead of concentrating them in one point. That is exactly why this PAR20 LED bulb delivers a smooth, even wash rather than the harsh hot spot you get from many flat-top lamps.
Light quality and beam spread
The big difference here is the 120° beam angle. Most PAR-style lamps project a tight cone; this one behaves much more like a flood, covering wide areas with fewer fixtures and far fewer dark gaps between pot lights. You pick the mood with the colour temperature: Warm White 3000K puts out 475 lumens of soft, yellow-leaning light that suits living rooms, bedrooms and restaurants, while Cool White 6000K puts out 550 lumens of bright, daylight-style light that keeps garages, workshops, kitchens and commercial spaces feeling clean and alert. Both versions are a good replacement for a 50W halogen while drawing just 8W.

Installation, dimming and compatibility
Installation could not be simpler: cut the power, thread the bulb into any E27 socket on a standard 110-120V circuit, and you are done. The compact PAR20 format fits most standard fixtures designed for that shape — recessed cans, track heads, surface cylinders, display and accent fixtures. Because it is dimmable from 100% to 10%, it pairs with an LED-compatible dimmer; as with any LED retrofit, use a dimmer rated for LED loads and keep the same bulb type on a single circuit for the smoothest, flicker-free fade. Keep in mind the bulb is rated for indoor use in a dry environment, so avoid unprotected outdoor locations, showers and other wet areas, and respect the -10~50° working temperature range.
Where it works and what you get
Think kitchen pot lights over an island, hallway and stairwell downlights, track heads aimed at artwork or a feature wall, retail shelving and product displays, a café's seating area, a clinic's waiting room or a small office. With the wide 120° flood, contractors often use fewer lamps to cover the same square footage, and homeowners get rid of the hot halogen lamps that keep burning out.
