Built to hold a strip straight, for yearsThe LUX2200 is an extruded aluminum channel shaped as a 45-degree corner profile, made to sit in an inside corner or against an edge and aim the light outward at an angle. Aluminum is the material of choice here for two reasons: it does not sag, twist or yellow the way plastic mounting solutions can, and it acts as a heat sink for the
LED strip bonded inside it. Heat is the number one enemy of LED tape — the cooler the strip runs, the longer it holds its output and its colour. A 4-foot bar is also easy to handle, easy to transport and easy to cut down with a mitre saw or hacksaw when a cabinet or a step calls for a custom length.

Light quality and beam controlMounting a strip flat against a surface often creates hot spots, glare straight into the eye and a harsh line of visible diodes. The 45-degree geometry of this
aluminum extrusion tilts the tape so the light leaves at an angle, covering a broader radius and washing surfaces more evenly. Under a kitchen cabinet, that means light landing on the counter instead of bouncing off a backsplash into your face. In a cove or on a staircase, it means a soft, continuous band of illumination rather than a dotted line. Paired with a diffuser-style installation and a quality strip, the result reads as architectural lighting, not as a temporary add-on.
Installation, mounting and accessoriesInstallation is straightforward and needs no electrician for the profile itself. Cut the bar to length, clean the mounting surface, then fix the channel with the optional
aluminum clips screwed into the substrate or with our sturdy double-sided tape for lighter and quicker jobs. Feed the strip into the channel, keep your solder points and connectors just outside the run, and close the ends with matching end caps — closed caps for a finished end, open caps where the wire exits. Remember that the quantity of caps and clips you select is multiplied by the number of bars ordered, so a 5-bar order with 2 closed caps ships 10 closed caps. Because the LUX2200 is rated for interior and exterior use, the same profile can run from an indoor cabinet out to a covered soffit as long as you choose an IP65 or IP67 strip for the outdoor section.
Applications and documentationResidential projects love it for kitchens, islands, pantries, bathrooms vanities, closets, home theatres, staircases and basement coves; contractors and small businesses use it for retail shelving, display cases, bar fronts, reception desks, restaurant millwork, workshops and garages. For runs longer than four feet, order multiple bars and butt them end to end, or step up to the
8 feet 45 degree aluminum profile for LED strip (LUX2200) to reduce the number of joints on long walls and ceilings.
