10 FEET 45 DEGREE ALUMINUM PROFILE FOR LED STRIP (LUX2200)

SKU: 10FLUX2200

Brand: LED MONTREAL

Corner lighting just got a whole lot easier. The 10 FEET 45 DEGREE ALUMINUM PROFILE FOR LED STRIP (LUX2200) from LED MONTREAL is a long extruded aluminum channel built to sit right in the corner where a wall meets the ceiling — or under a cabinet, along a stair stringer, inside a bookcase — and throw your light out at a clean 45° angle. People call it a lot of things: an aluminum profile for LED strip, an LED channel, an LED extrusion, a corner track or simply a housing for led strip lights. Whatever you call it, its job is the same: hide the tape, protect it, spread the light and make the whole installation look like it was designed instead of stuck on. It accepts an IP20 strip, an IP65+ strip or certain IP67 strips, so you can pick the tape that suits the room and slide it in.

This is the long bar: 10 feet (3.05 m) of profile in a single run, measuring 19 mm wide by 19 mm high, in the 45° surface-mount style. Model 10FLUX2200. Fewer joints over a long wall means fewer visible seams and a cleaner line of light from one end of the room to the other. Mount it with the optional aluminum clips or with our sturdy double-sided tape, then finish the ends with matching end caps so nothing looks unfinished. Take note of how the options work: the number of caps and clips you request is multiplied by the number of bars ordered — choose 2 closed caps with 5 bars and you receive 10 closed caps. Because of its length, this aluminum extrusion is available at our service counter only; it cannot travel by mail.

It shines in kitchens over upper cabinets, in basements and family rooms for indirect cove lighting, in retail displays, reception desks, restaurants, offices and workshops — anywhere a led ceiling lights strip effect makes the space feel bigger and warmer. Canadian renovators love it for finishing a basement ceiling perimeter in one pass, and contractors love it for repeatable, professional-looking commercial runs. Need shorter sections for a smaller room or an easier fit in the van? Look at the 8 feet 45 degree aluminum profile for LED strip (LUX2200), same family, same 45° look. Plan your runs, add your caps and clips, and give your project the professional touch.

Built from extruded aluminum
The LUX2200 is a solid piece of extruded aluminum shaped into a 45° corner profile, designed to be surface-mounted in an inside corner or flat against a surface to aim the light at an angle. Aluminum is the right material for LED tape for one big reason: it draws heat away from the diodes. A strip running loose on drywall or inside a wood valance traps its own heat; the same strip seated in an aluminum profile for LED strip runs cooler, holds its brightness and its colour better, and simply lasts longer in service. The channel also protects the tape from dust, knocks and curious fingers, and gives you a straight, rigid line — no more wavy tape following the imperfections of a ceiling.

Strip compatibility and light quality
The channel takes an IP20 strip for dry indoor work, an IP65+ strip where a little moisture or dust is in play, and certain IP67 strips as well — handy when you want the same profile look across different areas of a project. Because the strip sits recessed in the extrusion and fires out at 45°, you get a soft wash instead of a row of hot dots staring back at you, which is exactly what you want for cove lighting, under-cabinet task light and display cases. Measure your led strip lighting before you buy: check that the tape width fits inside the 19 mm profile and plan where the power feed enters so your wire stays hidden behind the bar.

Installation, mounting and finishing
Two simple ways to hold the profile in place: the optional aluminum clips, screwed to the surface so the bar snaps on and can be popped off later for service, or our sturdy double-sided tape for a fast, screw-free run on a clean, dry surface. Add matching end caps — closed caps to finish a run, open caps where the cable exits — and the installation reads as finished work instead of a DIY afterthought. Remember that quantities of caps and clips are multiplied by the number of bars ordered, so 2 closed caps with 5 bars gives you 10 closed caps. Cut the extrusion with a fine-tooth blade in a mitre box, deburr the edges, and dry-fit the corner cuts before you commit to tape or screws. Because of its size, this 10-foot bar is available at our service counter only and cannot be shipped by mail — bring a vehicle that can carry a 3.05 m length.

Applications and documentation
Think perimeter cove lighting in a finished basement, a continuous glow above kitchen upper cabinets, backlit shelving in a boutique, a lit reception desk, accent runs in a restaurant, stair and corridor lighting in a condo building, or bright task light over a workbench in the garage. For shorter spans, tighter rooms or easier transport, the 8 feet 45 degree aluminum profile for LED strip (LUX2200) is the same 45° design in a shorter bar and mixes perfectly with this one on the same job. The technical PDF for the 10FLUX2200 is in the Documentation tab with the model, type and dimensions you need for your shop drawings and material list — worth printing before you start cutting.
