Built from extruded aluminum
The LUX725 is a surface-mounted 45° channel made of extruded aluminum, the same material the lighting industry relies on for one simple reason: it carries heat away from the LEDs. A tape light glued straight to drywall, wood or melamine traps that heat against itself; slipped into an aluminum profile for LED strip, it runs cooler, holds its light output better and reaches the lifespan it was designed for. Each bar arrives at 8 feet (2.44 m), so a long run needs fewer joints and fewer visible breaks in the light line.
A 45° angle that changes the light
Cut at 45 degrees, this profile sits in an inside corner — where a cabinet meets a backsplash, where a stair riser meets the tread, where a ceiling meets a wall — and throws the beam out at an angle instead of straight down. The result is a wider radius of light, softer shadows and far less of that "row of dots" effect you get from a bare strip. It is the go-to shape for LED ceiling strip lights, cove lighting, toe-kicks and any place where you want to see the light and not the source.

Installation and compatibility
Installation is straightforward: position the bar, secure it with the optional aluminum mounting clips for a removable, serviceable run, or press it into place with strong double-sided tape on a clean, dry surface. Then slide or stick your LED strip lighting into the channel and close both ends with caps — one closed cap at the far end, one open cap where the wire exits, is the usual recipe. The profile accepts IP20 strips for dry indoor areas, and IP65+ or IP67 strips when the installation is exposed to moisture or sits outdoors, so the same channel covers a pantry shelf and a patio soffit. Note that the quantity of caps and clips chosen in the options is multiplied by the number of bars ordered, which makes planning a multi-bar run painless.
Real projects and documentation
Think of a kitchen where two 8-foot bars run the full length of the upper cabinets, a basement stairwell lit step by step, a retail shelving unit where products need even light, a garage workbench, a home gym ceiling cove, or a covered deck where a weatherproof strip needs a housing that looks intentional. Both residential renovations and commercial fit-ups benefit from the same finished result: a straight aluminum line instead of exposed adhesive tape. The technical PDF for the LUX725 is available in the Documentation tab of this page with the full dimensions, so you can confirm your strip width and your reveal before cutting a single piece.
