The U shape (surface) design gives you a deep, open channel with two side walls that shield the LED strip from side glare and physical contact, while the flat base gives the tape a perfectly straight, rigid surface to adhere to. Choosing the right LED strip
This channel was designed for led strip lights measuring less than 14 mm wide, which covers most standard IP20 indoor tapes as well as IP65+ and IP67 silicone-coated strips. It is not suitable for wider tapes, including certain IP67 and IP68 formats that exceed 14 mm — always check the width printed on your strip's spec sheet before cutting anything. If you are planning a long continuous run, remember to respect your strip's maximum run length and to feed power from both ends when the manufacturer calls for it, so the far end of your led strip lighting stays as bright as the first metre.

Installation, mounting and finishing
Mount the channel first, then install the strip. Lay the profile along your surface, mark your fixing points, and anchor it with screws suited to the substrate — wood, drywall with anchors, or metal.
