Built to be flexible, built to last
This LED MONTREAL 3528 LED strip uses Epistar 3528 SMD chips mounted on a 2-ounce copper circuit board — a heavier board than the entry-level norm, which helps carry current cleanly over the full 5 meter reel. The whole ribbon is encased in a flexible silicone coating rated iP65+, making it suitable for dry and humid environments, indoor and protected outdoor use. At 10 mm wide and only 4.25 mm high, it bends around corners, follows curves and tucks into channels, reveals and cabinet recesses where no other fixture fits. A 3M self-adhesive back means most installs need nothing more than a clean, dry surface and firm hand pressure.
Light quality you can live with
With 60 LEDs per meter, the light reads as a continuous line rather than a row of dots, especially behind a diffuser or inside an aluminum profile. Typical output is 400 lumens per meter at 3000K warm white, the cozy tone most homeowners want in kitchens, bedrooms and living rooms, and the CRI of 80+ keeps colours honest on countertops, artwork and merchandise. The 120° beam angle washes surfaces evenly, which is exactly what you want for under-cabinet task light or a soft cove glow. Rated at 50 000+ hours, it's a set-and-forget upgrade.

Wiring, dimming and installation
Because it runs on 12V DC low voltage, this strip is safe to handle and simple to wire. It arrives with a female DC plug (17 cm) on one end and two bare wires (17 cm) on the other, so you can plug into a matching driver or hard-wire it, whichever suits the job. Size your power supply to the recommended 6W per meter for the length you actually install — a full 5 meter run needs proportionally more than a 2 meter under-cabinet section. The strip is dimmable, either with a low-voltage dimmer/remote combo on the DC side, or with a dimmable power supply controlled by a 120V AC dimmer. Cuts are made only on the marked points every 3 LEDs (50 mm). Heat dissipation is not necessary for typical residential use; in a commercial environment, mounting in an aluminum channel is the smart move.
Where it works and what's included in the docs
Contractors use this indoor LED lighting strip for under-cabinet task light, toe-kick accents, pantry and closet lighting, stair nosing, cove and crown moulding washes, and backlit mirrors or headboards. Businesses run it in display cases, retail shelving, reception desks, bar fronts and restaurant banquettes; it's also a favourite for vehicle interiors and covered porches thanks to the iP65+ rating. Remember this listing is strip only, so plan your driver, connectors and controller separately.
