The SUTUBE8 is an architectural tube profile designed to turn a flexible LED strip into a real suspended fixture. The body is a round diffusing tube of 30 mm diameter running the full 2.44 m (8 feet), mounted on a slim 15 mm aluminum base that carries the strip and anchors the hanging hardware. That aluminum base is not decoration: LED strips lose output and lifespan when heat has nowhere to go, and an extruded aluminum carrier pulls that heat away from the diodes. White end caps finish both ends so the tube reads as one solid object from every angle.
Light quality and the 280-degree spread
A bare strip throws light in one direction and shows every diode as a hot dot. Inside this tube, the same strip becomes a soft, continuous line with a 280-degree light spread, meaning the glow reaches up toward the ceiling and out to the sides, not just down onto the counter. That indirect component is what makes suspended tube lighting feel comfortable instead of glaring, and it's why designers use it over tables, islands and desks where people look up. The colour temperature, brightness and colour rendering of the finished fixture come from the LED strip you install inside, so you control the look completely — warm and cozy, or crisp and neutral for task areas.

Installation and compatibility
Installation is straightforward: lay your strip onto the aluminum base, close the diffusing tube, cap both ends, then hang the assembly from a standard ceiling with the included suspension kit. Because the suspension points attach to the aluminum base, the weight is carried by the extrusion rather than by the tube itself. Plan your feed point before you hang — decide which end the wire enters, keep your driver accessible (in a cabinet, above a drop ceiling or in an adjacent service space), and confirm the wattage per foot of your strip against the driver capacity for the full 8-foot run. The profile is built around the 2835 high output LED strip, a natural match for a bright, fluorescent-style line, and works with strips sized to fit the 15 mm base. Choose a dimmable strip and a compatible dimmer if you want to tune the level over a dining table or a meeting room.
