Built for one job, and it does it well
The NEONB is a U-shape aluminum profile extruded specifically around the 8 mm neon flex format. Its interior width of 8 mm matches the rope, the 10 mm exterior width keeps the visible footprint minimal, and the 16 mm height lets the sidewalls hold the neon securely along its full body while leaving the light-emitting face fully exposed. Because it is a surface-mount design, there is no routing, no channel to cut into the drywall and no special preparation — you fasten the track to the surface, press the flex in, and you are done. The aluminum alloy construction keeps the section rigid over the full 2 metre length, so it does not sag between fasteners the way plastic clips or adhesive-only installs do.
Why aluminum matters for neon flex
Aluminum is not just cosmetic here. It is a natural heat conductor, so the profile acts as a heat sink and helps pull warmth away from the LEDs inside the silicone rope. Cooler LEDs hold their brightness and colour better over time, which is exactly what you want on a long continuous run that stays on for hours every evening. The extrusion is also lightweight, so overhead work on ceilings, soffits and coves is far easier than with heavier mounting hardware, and it takes a cut cleanly with a mitre saw or hacksaw fitted with a fine-tooth aluminum blade — file the burrs, and the end is ready to butt against the next section.

Installation and compatibility
Mark your line, pre-drill the profile where needed and fasten it with screws suited to your substrate — drywall anchors, wood screws, self-tapping screws for metal — or bond it with a quality construction adhesive on clean, dry surfaces. Plan your sections so the joints fall where the neon is continuous, and always leave the power-feed end accessible for the connector and lead wire. This LED aluminum channel is designed for 8 mm neon flex, single colour or RGB; it is a mechanical support, so all the electrical work — driver, controller, low-voltage feed — is handled by the neon flex system itself. Dry interior locations are its natural home; for exterior or damp installations, follow the ratings and instructions of the neon flex and power supply you are using.
Where contractors put it to work
Think perimeter cove lighting in a living room or home theatre, a glowing line under a floating vanity, stair stringers and handrail undersides, backlit reception desks, bar fronts and display cases, gym and clinic corridors, retail shelving, and signage work such as channel letters, logo outlines and window graphics. Sign builders in particular appreciate how the extrusion keeps the straight strokes of lettering perfectly true while curves are formed freehand.
