Built to survive the job site and the weather
Each pod in this string is a robustly encapsulated LED module measuring 43 x 15 x 11 mm, moulded around two Samsung SMD 2835 chips and topped with an optical lens. The modules are joined by flexible 18 AWG wires with 90 mm between each unit, so you can bend the chain around the curves of a channel letter, follow the inside of a light box or step around a mounting stud. The full assembly is rated iP68, the highest level of sealing, which is why these 12V LED sign modules can live permanently outdoors inside an enclosed light box or letter can. The stated working temperature range is -20 to 45 degrees.
Light quality that fills the face of a sign
Two Samsung SMD 2835 LEDs per module produce 72 lm, and the lens spreads that output over a wide 160° beam angle. That wide spread is the whole point: it gives uniform illumination across the acrylic or vinyl face and delivers significantly better application efficiency than LEDs without lenses, so less light is trapped inside the cabinet. Colour temperature is available in 3000-3500K warm white for a soft, inviting look or 6000-7000K cool white for crisp, high-contrast graphics; this SKU is the cool white option. The recommended sign depth is 6-15 cm, which is the range where the beams overlap properly and you avoid visible dots or dark bands.

Wiring and installation
These are constant-voltage 12V DC modules, so they need a 12V DC power supply sized for the total wattage of the modules you connect, with headroom for a comfortable load. Respect the maximum of 50 modules in one row; if your project needs more, run additional rows fed in parallel from the supply rather than extending a single chain. Lay out your rows before you stick anything down, keeping the spacing consistent so the light stays even across the face. Fixing is simple: use the included double-sided 3M tape on a clean, dry surface, or screw the module base directly to the substrate when the sign will see vibration, heat or a long outdoor life. Feed the wire through grommets, keep connections inside the cabinet and give the supply its own ventilated space.
Where they earn their keep, and documentation
Sign makers use these backlight LED modules for storefront channel letters, double-sided blade signs, pylon cabinets, drive-thru menu boards, illuminated logos behind a reception desk, display cases, lightweight lettering in a boutique and trade-show panels. Contractors also reach for them when a flat cabinet or a tight cove makes a continuous LED strip hard to place.
