Built for long, even runsThis
LED tape light is built on an
8 mm wide PCB with a
3oz copper thickness — a detail installers appreciate, because heavier copper moves heat away from the diodes and helps keep brightness and colour stable over a long run. With
128 LEDs per meter, the Epistar
2835 SMD chips sit close enough together to read as one continuous line once you drop the strip into a diffused aluminum channel. The strip is cuttable every
62.5 mm (8 LEDs), so you can tailor each section to a cabinet, a shelf or a stair nosing instead of forcing your layout to fit a fixed fixture length.
Light quality that flatters everythingA
CRI of 90+ is what separates a proper architectural strip from a generic roll: colours stay true, whites stay clean, and finishes, food and products look the way they should under the light. The
5000K colour temperature is a bright, daylight-leaning white — ideal for kitchens, workbenches, garages, laundry rooms, display cases and commercial spaces where crispness and visibility matter. The
120° beam angle spreads light wide, which is exactly what you want for cove lighting and under-cabinet work surfaces, and an efficiency of
130 lm/W means you get that output without loading up your circuit.

Wiring, dimming and installationThis is a
24V DC low-voltage product, so it must be powered by a 24V DC driver or power supply rated for the total wattage of your run — count 9.6W for every meter installed, then leave yourself headroom. Respect the
10 m maximum run per feed; for longer installations, run separate home runs back to the driver rather than daisy-chaining past that limit, which prevents the voltage drop that makes the far end look dim. The strip is
dimmable, so pair the driver with a compatible low-voltage dimming control for cove, bedroom or restaurant scenes. Its
IP66 rating means the strip is protected against dust and water jets, a real advantage in kitchens, bathrooms, covered exteriors and anywhere splashes, cleaning or humidity are part of daily life. Clean the surface before sticking it down, and use an aluminum extrusion with a frosted lens for heat dissipation, dot-free diffusion and a tidy finished edge.
Applications, family and documentationThink under-cabinet task lighting in a kitchen, a continuous cove around a living-room ceiling, backlit bathroom mirrors, toe-kick and stair lighting, closet and pantry shelving, garage workbenches, retail shelving, bakery and jewellery display cases, reception desks, salon stations and office soffits. Need a different look from the same 24V family? Consider the lower-output
LED strip 4.8W/M 24V 3000K IP66 for soft accent lines, the punchier
LED strip 19.2W/M 24V 3000K IP66 for high ceilings and deep coves, the colour-changing
LED strip 14.4W/M 24V RGB IP66 for feature walls and bars, or the warm version of this exact model,
LED strip 9.6W/M 24V 3000K IP66. The full technical PDF spec sheet for this product is available in the Documentation tab — download it for your submittals, permits and installation planning.
