Built for a clean, even line of lightThis
LED tape light uses
Epistar 2835 SMD chips at a density of 128 LEDs per meter on an 8 mm wide PCB. That tight LED spacing is what kills the "dotting" effect you see on cheaper
LED strip lighting when it sits close to a diffuser or a wall. The circuit board uses 3 oz. copper, which helps pull heat away from the diodes — the single biggest factor in how long a strip keeps its brightness and colour. Rated life is 50 000+ hours.
Light quality you can actually seeAt 2700K, the light is warm and residential — the tone people associate with a comfortable kitchen, a cozy living room or a hospitality space. Efficiency is 130 LM/W and the
CRI 90+ rendering means colours stay honest: white cabinets read white, walnut reads walnut, and merchandise on a shelf looks like it does in daylight. The 120º lighting angle spreads the output wide, so a single run inside a cove or an aluminum channel washes a surface smoothly instead of throwing a hard stripe.

Wiring, dimming and installationThe strip runs on
24V DC, so it needs a constant-voltage 24V driver or power supply with enough capacity for the total wattage of your run — count 9.6W/M of installed tape, plus headroom. Respect the 10 m maximum run length per feed; for longer installations, feed additional sections from the source rather than extending end to end, which prevents voltage drop and the dimming-at-the-far-end look. Cut only on the marked cut points every 62.5 mm (8 LEDs), then solder or use a quality connector. The strip is
dimmable through a compatible 24V DC dimming setup (PWM or the dimming input on a dimmable driver). With an
IP22 rating, install it in dry indoor locations; for damp, splash-prone or outdoor work, choose the IP66 version instead. Mounting it in an aluminum extrusion with a frosted lens is strongly recommended — it diffuses the LEDs, protects the tape and acts as a heat sink.
Where it works and what goes with itConcrete examples: a warm glow under upper kitchen cabinets for prep work, cove lighting around a living-room tray ceiling, a lit toe-kick in a mudroom, shelf lighting in a boutique or wine cellar, backlit millwork at a reception desk, stair and corridor accents in a condo or hotel. In the same family you'll find lower and higher outputs and other looks:
LED strip 4.8W/m 24V IP22 for subtle accents,
LED strip 19.2W/m 24V IP66 when you need serious punch,
tunable white CCT LED strip 20W/m for adjustable colour temperature, and
RGB LED strip 14.4W/m 24V IP22 for colour-changing effects. The full technical PDF for this model is in the Documentation tab — download it before you spec your driver and profile.
