LED STRIP 9.6W/M - LCLS24V-48W-50K-IP66

SKU: LCLS24V-48W-50K-IP66

Brand: LEDCO

Some lights you notice. The best ones you don't — you just notice how good the room looks. That's exactly what this LED strip does. Sold as a flexible reel, this is the classic LED strip light (also called LED tape, LED light strip, LED ribbon or LED strip lighting) that slips under cabinets, into coves, along stair nosings, behind headboards and inside display cases to throw a smooth, continuous line of light instead of a row of hot spots. Model LCLS24V-48W-50K-IP66 is the 5000K daylight version, the one people reach for when they want crisp, clean, wide-awake light in a kitchen, a garage, a workshop or a retail display.

Under the silicone you get 128 LEDs per metre on an 8 mm PCB with 3 oz copper, running at 24V DC and drawing 9.6W/m ±10% — efficient light at 130 LM/W, so a long run stays easy on your circuit. The Epistar 2835 SMD chips deliver a CRI of 90+, which means wood grain, paint colours, food and merchandise all look like themselves, not washed out. A 120º beam angle spreads the light evenly, and the strip is dimmable so you can take a bright work zone down to a soft glow at night. It's UL listed, rated for 50 000+ hours of life, and carries an IP66 rating — real protection against dust and water jets. Maximum run is 10 m, and the cut size is 62.5 mm (every 8 LEDs), so you can tailor each length to the millimetre.

This is the strip for Canadian kitchens and basements, bathroom vanities, garages and cold rooms, restaurant counters, bakery cases, salon mirrors and store shelving — anywhere a damp or dusty environment would kill an ordinary tape. Pair it with a 24V DC driver sized to your total wattage and a compatible dimmer, and mount it in an aluminum profile with a diffuser for a finished, dot-free line. Want a warmer look for the same fixture? The same platform is offered as LED strip 9.6W/m 24V 48W 30K IP66, and for brighter or softer runs there's LED strip 19.2W/m 24V 96W 30K IP66 and LED strip 4.8W/m 24V 24W 30K IP66. Measure your run, pick your colour temperature, and light it right the first time.

Built to stay bright
This strip is built on an 8 mm wide printed circuit board with a 3 oz copper thickness — a heavier copper layer than budget tapes use, which helps carry current and pull heat away from the diodes over long runs. It carries 128 Epistar 2835 SMD chips per metre, spaced closely enough that in an aluminum channel with a diffuser you read a line of light rather than a row of dots. The IP66 protection rating seals the assembly against dust ingress and water jets, so the tape holds up in kitchens, bathrooms, garages, walk-ins and other environments where humidity and cleaning are part of daily life.

Light quality you can trust
At 5000K, this version produces a daylight-white tone: energizing, neutral and ideal for task areas, workshops, garages and retail displays where you want colours and details to pop. The CRI of 90+ is the number that matters most day to day — it means reds stay red, whites stay clean and skin tones look natural under a vanity or salon mirror. Efficiency sits at 130 LM/W for a draw of 9.6W/m ±10%, and the 120º beam angle spreads light broadly so a cove or under-cabinet run washes the surface instead of streaking it.

Wiring and installation
Because it runs on 24V DC, this tape needs a constant-voltage 24V power supply sized to your total load — add up the metres, multiply by 9.6W/m, and leave yourself headroom. Respect the 10 m maximum run per feed; for longer installations, run parallel home runs back to the driver rather than chaining one long line, which protects against voltage drop and visible dimming at the far end. Cut only on the marked cut points every 62.5 mm (8 LEDs), and plan your dimming from the start: the strip is dimmable, so choose a driver and control combination rated to dim together. In an IP66 installation, seal cut ends properly and mount in an aluminum extrusion when the strip will be visible or exposed to knocks — the channel also acts as a heat sink and supports a cleaner finished look.
