LED STRIP 9.6W/M - LCLS24V-48W-27K-IP66

SKU: LCLS24V-48W-27K-IP66

Brand: LEDCO

Some lights you notice. This one you feel. The LED strip LCLS24V-48W-27K-IP66 is a flexible ribbon of light — what most people call LED strip lights, LED light strips, LED strip lighting or simply a light tape — built to hide inside a cove, a cabinet, a stair nose or an aluminum channel and wash a whole room with a soft, even glow. No hot spots, no visible fixtures, just a clean line of light that makes millwork, backsplashes, headboards and ceiling coves look like they were designed by a pro. It's a 24V DC strip at 2700K, the warm, candle-like tone people want in living rooms, bedrooms and restaurants, and it's cut-to-length, so one roll can solve a dozen little lighting problems in the same project.

Under the silicone you get Epistar 2835 SMD chips — 128 LEDs per meter for a tight, dot-free line — drawing 9.6W/m ±10% at an efficient 130 lumens per watt. The CRI 90+ rendering is the real star here: wood grain, paint, skin tones and food all look true instead of washed out, which is exactly why designers spec high-CRI tape for kitchens and retail displays. The 120º beam spreads light wide, the 24V DC platform keeps voltage drop under control over long runs, and yes, it's dimmable. The PCB is 8 mm wide with a heat-friendly 3 oz. copper build, the max run is 10 m, and it cuts every 62.5 mm (8 LEDs). Add an IP66 protection rating against dust and water jets, UL listing and a 50,000+ hour lifespan, and you have tape you can install once and forget.

This ruban LED earns its keep under kitchen cabinets, in bathroom coves, along basement stair stringers, in closets, garages, workshops, covered porches, walk-in coolers and washdown areas — anywhere Canadian humidity, dust or the occasional splash would kill an ordinary indoor tape. You'll need a 24V DC driver sized to your total run, and an aluminum profile with a diffuser is strongly recommended for a seamless line. Want the same 9.6W/m light in another shade? Compare it with LED strip 9.6W/m 24V 48W 30K IP66, or with the indoor IP22 versions in 2700K and 4000K. Measure your run, pick your driver and let's light it up.

Built to take a beating
This tape is a 24V DC flexible circuit board, 8 mm wide, populated with 128 Epistar 2835 SMD chips per meter and encapsulated for an IP66 protection rating — protected against dust and against water projected in jets. The 3 oz. copper PCB is the detail installers care about: more copper means better heat spreading along the ribbon, and cooler LEDs hold their colour and output far longer. The strip is rated for 50,000+ hours of service and is UL listed, so it clears inspection on residential and commercial job sites alike.

Light quality you can actually see
At 2700K, this is the warmest tone in the family — a relaxed, golden white that flatters wood, brass, stone and warm paint palettes. Pair that with CRI 90+ and colours snap back to life: the red in a brick wall, the grain in white oak, the real colour of food on a counter. The 128 LEDs per meter sit close enough together to avoid the "string of dots" look once you add a diffuser, and the 120º beam angle spreads light evenly across a cove or a cabinet interior instead of punching a hard line down the middle. Output works out to 130 lumens per watt for 9.6W/m ±10% of draw.

Wiring and installation
Everything starts with a 24V DC driver sized to the total wattage of your run — add up the meters, multiply by 9.6W/m, and leave yourself headroom. Respect the 10 m maximum length per run: for longer installations, feed several runs in parallel from the supply rather than daisy-chaining end to end. Cut only on the marked cut points every 62.5 mm (8 LEDs), and reseal any cut end on an IP66 run so moisture can't creep into the circuit. The strip is dimmable, so plan your dimming method on the DC side with a compatible control. An aluminum LED profile with a frosted diffuser — a very common search for a reason — gives you a finished architectural line, protects the tape and acts as a heat sink.

Where it works and what else to look at
Think under-cabinet and toe-kick lighting in kitchens, backlit bathroom mirrors and vanity coves, stair and hallway guidance lighting, closet and pantry shelves, bar fronts, reception desks, retail shelving, display cases, garages, workshops and covered exterior soffits. The IP66 rating opens doors that indoor tape can't: damp basements, laundry rooms, commercial kitchens and washdown zones. Need a cooler or neutral white instead? See LED strip 24V 9.6W/m IP22 3500K or LED strip 24V 9.6W/m IP22 5000K. For a brighter line in the same IP66 family, look at LED strip 19.2W/m 24V 96W 30K IP66, and for colour-changing accents, LED strip 14.4W/m 24V 72W RGB IP66.
