Built to run long and stay quietThis
LED tape light is built on an 8 mm wide flexible PCB with a 3 oz copper thickness — heavier copper spreads heat better along the run, which is exactly what keeps colour and output stable over years of daily use. The Epistar 2835 SMD chips are laid out at
128 LEDs per meter, a tight spacing that erases the "dotted" look when the strip is mounted close to a surface or behind a lens. The
IP66 protection means the tape is coated, so it shrugs off dust, splashes and the humidity you get in bathrooms, kitchens and basements.
Light quality you can trust on a countertopColour rendering is where cheap tape falls apart. With a
CRI 90+, this strip shows real wood grain, accurate paint colours and natural skin tones — critical over a vanity, a bar or a retail display. The
3000K warm white sits in that comfortable residential range that pairs well with brass, walnut and warm whites, while the 120º beam angle washes surfaces evenly. At
130 lm/W, you get usable task light from a strip that draws only
9.6W/m, a big drop compared to halogen or incandescent accent lighting.

Wiring, dimming and installationThe strip runs on
24V DC, so it needs a low-voltage driver sized for your total load: multiply 9.6W by the number of meters you are installing, then leave headroom on the power supply. Respect the
10 m maximum run per feed — for longer installations, feed separate sections from the driver rather than chaining one endless line, which prevents the voltage drop that makes the far end look dim. Cuts are made only on the marked points every
62.5 mm (8 LEDs), and the tape is
dimmable through a compatible low-voltage dimming system. Mounting in an
aluminum LED profile with a diffuser is strongly recommended: it protects the tape, manages heat and gives that clean linear line instead of visible diodes.
Where it works and what goes with itThink under-cabinet task lighting, cove and ceiling perimeter details, floating shelves, stair and handrail lighting, closets, bar backsplashes, retail displays, office reception logos and hotel corridors. For colour-changing zones, look at the
LED strip 14.4W/m 24V 72W RGB IP66; for a softer, lower-output accent line, the
LED strip 4.8W/m 24V 24W 30K IP66 uses the same 24V platform; and if you prefer a cooler, crisper white, the
LED strip 24V 9.6W/m IP22 (50K) is the same family. The full technical PDF spec sheet is available in the Documentation tab for your submittals and permit packages.
