LED STRIP 4.8W/M - LCLS24V-24W-50K-IP66-30M

SKU: LCLS24V-24W-50K-IP66-30M

Brand: LEDCO

Looking for a clean, continuous line of light you can hide anywhere? This LED strip delivers a crisp 5000K daylight glow at just 4.8W per metre, and it slips into places a fixture never could. Known by plenty of names — LED strip lights, LED light strips, LED strip lighting, LED tape or simply strip lights — it's the go-to solution for under-cabinet lighting, cove and ceiling details, toe-kicks, stair nosings, shelving, display cases, closets, garages and sign boxes. Model LCLS24V-24W-50K-IP66-30M comes as a 30 m roll, so you have plenty of length to run a whole kitchen, a basement perimeter or a commercial counter without hunting for extra pieces mid-project.

Under the silicone you get an Epistar 3528 SMD chip layout with 64 LEDs per metre, which is what gives this tape its smooth, dot-free look when it's tucked behind a lip or inside a channel. It draws 4.8W/m (±10%) and produces 130 LM/W, running on 24V DC with a wide 120º beam. The CRI 90+ rating matters more than people expect: whites stay white, wood grain and countertops keep their real colour, and skin tones look natural in a bathroom or a retail display. The 5000K colour temperature is the bright, daylight-white end of the scale — perfect where you want alert, task-friendly light. The strip is dimmable, UL listed, rated for 50 000+ hours, and this version carries an IP66 protection rating. The PCB is 8 mm wide with 3 oz copper, cuttable every 125 mm (8 LEDs), with a maximum run of 10 m per feed.

Homeowners use it to wake up a dark kitchen counter, light a basement stairwell or add a soft halo above crown moulding; contractors run it in offices, clinics, salons, restaurant bars, display shelving and retail signage. In Canadian homes and shops where winter afternoons go dark by four, that 5000K daylight tone keeps work surfaces genuinely usable. Need a warmer feel in the same series? The same 4.8W/m tape is offered as LED strip 4.8W/M 24V 24W 30K IP66, and the IP22 indoor versions include LED strip 24V 4.8W/M IP22 (27K) and LED strip 24V 4.8W/M IP22 (40K). Roll out your light line and make the whole room look custom.

Built to disappear into the design
The whole point of a good LED strip is that you see the light, not the fixture. This tape is built on an 8 mm wide PCB with 3 oz copper, a heavier copper weight that helps carry current and move heat away from the diodes along long runs. Sixty-four Epistar 3528 SMD LEDs per metre sit close together, so when the strip is mounted behind a valance, in a cove or inside an aluminum channel with a diffuser, the output reads as one continuous band instead of a row of hot spots. The flexible format lets it follow curves, wrap a soffit return or hug the inside of a display case, and the roll format means fewer splices on a big job.

Light quality you can actually see
At 5000K, this version puts out a bright daylight white — the tone people reach for in kitchens, workshops, garages, bathrooms and commercial spaces where detail work happens. The efficacy of 130 LM/W means you get a lot of light out of only 4.8W per metre, which keeps power supply sizing reasonable even on long perimeters. The CRI 90+ rendering is the detail that separates this tape from bargain strips: paint colours, food, fabric, hair and merchandise all look like themselves. A 120º beam angle spreads the light wide and fast, so even a shallow cove or a narrow under-cabinet gap fills evenly.

Electrical and installation notes
This is a 24V DC strip, so it needs a compatible low-voltage driver or power supply sized for the total wattage of your run — count 4.8W for every metre you install, then add headroom. Respect the 10 m maximum length per feed: longer than that and you should feed the strip from both ends or split it into separate runs to avoid voltage drop at the far end. Cut only on the marked cut lines every 125 mm (8 LEDs), and make solder or connector joints clean and supported. Because the strip is dimmable, pair it with a dimming driver or a compatible low-voltage dimming system to set mood levels in a bedroom, a restaurant or a hotel corridor. Clean the mounting surface before sticking the tape down, and an aluminum profile with a diffuser will both protect the strip and soften the LED dots.

Applications, family and documentation
Concrete examples: a 5000K line under upper cabinets so a kitchen counter finally has usable task light; a garage workbench run; cove lighting in a basement renovation; shelf lighting in a boutique or a bakery display; a bright band in a walk-in closet, a laundry room or a workshop. Need other outputs on the same 24V platform? Step up to LED strip 9.6W/M 24V 48W 30K IP66 or LED strip 19.2W/M 24V 96W 30K IP66 for brighter runs, add colour with LED strip 14.4W/M 24V 72W RGB IP66, or keep the same 4.8W/m output in a softer tone with LED strip 24V 4.8W/M IP22 (30K).
