LED STRIP 4.8W/M - LCLS24V-24W-40K-IP66-30M

SKU: LCLS24V-24W-40K-IP66-30M

Brand: LEDCO

Soft, even light exactly where you need it — that's what a good LED strip gives you, and this 24V tape is one of the easiest ways to get it. Known as LED strip lights, LED tape, ribbon light or simply LED lighting strips, SKU LCLS24V-24W-40K-IP66-30M is a low-profile flexible circuit board that hides in coves, under cabinets, along stair nosings, inside millwork and behind mirrors, then washes the surface in front of it with clean, continuous illumination. Homeowners use it for kitchen counters, closets, basements and LED ceiling lights strip coves; contractors and small businesses use it for display cases, reception desks, retail shelving and signage. Because it comes on a long roll and cuts down to size, you can light a 4' shelf or a whole room perimeter from the same product.

This version runs at 4.8W per metre on 24V DC, drawing very little power while delivering real, usable brightness thanks to an efficacy of 130 LM/W. It uses Epistar 3528 SMD chips, 64 LEDs per meter, for a tight, dot-free look, and its CRI 90+ rendering keeps wood grain, paint colours, food and merchandise looking true — a big deal above a countertop or in a display. The 4000K neutral white tone is crisp and modern without going cold. The PCB is 8 mm wide with 3 oz. copper, the beam spreads at 120º, and the strip is dimmable for mood control. It's UL listed, rated for 50 000+ hours, with a cut size of 125 mm (8 LED) and a maximum run of 10 m per feed.

Put it under upper cabinets, in a bulkhead cove, along a hallway ceiling, under a bar top, inside a walk-in closet or in a garage workbench area — anywhere Canadian homes and shops need light that feels built-in rather than bolted on. It pairs naturally with an aluminum channel and diffuser for a finished, glare-free line, and it needs a 24V DC driver sized to your total run. Prefer a warmer tone for a living room or restaurant? Look at the LED strip 4.8W/M 24V 24W 30K IP66, or step up in output with the LED strip 9.6W/M 24V 48W 30K IP66. Measure your run, choose your channel, and start planning your lighting layout today.

Built to disappear into the design
This LED tape light is a flexible printed circuit just 8 mm wide, populated with Epistar 3528 SMD chips at 64 LEDs per meter. That density is what kills the "string of dots" effect and gives you a smooth line of light along a cove or a shelf. The PCB uses 3 oz. copper, which helps carry current and move heat away from the diodes over long runs. Scissor-cut marks fall every 125 mm (8 LED), so you can trim the roll to the exact length of a cabinet, a stair riser or a display case without wasting the rest.

Light quality you can actually see
With a CRI 90+, colours stay honest: white quartz looks white, walnut stays warm, fabrics and packaging keep their real tone. Efficacy is rated at 130 LM/W, so the 4.8W/M draw turns into a surprising amount of usable light for task and accent work. The 4000K neutral white is the go-to for kitchens, bathrooms, offices and retail — bright and current, without the blue edge of higher Kelvin. The 120º beam spread means the light opens up quickly, which is exactly what you want when the strip sits close to the surface it's washing.

Wiring and installation
The strip runs on 24V DC, so it needs a low-voltage driver sized to the total wattage of your run — add up the metres, multiply by 4.8 W, and leave yourself headroom. Respect the 10 m maximum length per feed; for longer perimeters, run separate home runs back to the driver instead of daisy-chaining, and you'll avoid voltage drop and dimming at the far end. Cut only on the marked 125 mm points, solder or use connectors at the copper pads, and mount on a clean, dry surface — an aluminum extrusion with a frosted lens both protects the tape and blends the dots into one soft line. Because it's dimmable, pair it with a compatible 24V dimming driver or controller to set levels in a bedroom, restaurant or boardroom.

Applications and family options
Think under-cabinet task light in a kitchen, toe-kick and vanity accents in a bathroom, cove lighting in a condo living room, shelf lighting in a boutique, backlit reception signage, stair and corridor guidance in a multi-unit building, or workbench light in a garage. If your project calls for a warmer look, the same 4.8W/M platform exists as the LED strip 4.8W/M 24V 24W 30K IP66; for brighter coves choose the LED strip 19.2W/M 24V 96W 30K IP66, and for colour-changing accents the LED strip 14.4W/M 24V 72W RGB IP66.
