LED STRIP 4.8W/M - LCLS24V-24W-50K-IP66

SKU: LCLS24V-24W-50K-IP66

Brand: LEDCO

Bring clean, even light to every corner of a room with this LED strip in a crisp 5000K daylight tone. Known by plenty of names — LED strip lighting, LED light strips, LED tape, ribbon light or simply strip lights — this flexible 24V roll is the discreet workhorse behind cove ceilings, under-cabinet counters, stair nosings, closets, display cases and backlit shelving. Because it comes in an IP66 version, it also handles damp, dusty and splash-prone spots that a standard indoor tape would not survive, which makes it just as useful in a garage, a workshop or a commercial back-of-house as it is in a kitchen. Model LCLS24V-24W-50K-IP66 is the cool 5000K colour temperature of the family, the one people reach for when they want light that reads white and awake rather than cozy.

Under the silicone you get an Epistar 3528 SMD chip layout with 64 LEDs per meter, drawing only 4.8W/M and delivering 130 LM/W — efficient light that will not load up your circuit even over a long run. The CRI 90+ rating is the detail that separates this tape from bargain ribbon: colours, wood grain, food, paint and fabrics look true instead of washed out. A 120º beam angle spreads light smoothly so you see a band of light, not a row of dots, and the 24V DC platform keeps voltage drop under control over longer runs (max length 10m). The 8mm PCB with 3oz copper runs cooler and lasts longer, the strip is dimmable, UL listed, and rated for 50 000+ hours of service. Cut size is 125mm (every 8 LEDs), so you can tailor each run to the millimetre.

This 5000K tape shines wherever crisp task light matters: kitchen counters and pantries, bathroom vanities and mirrors, basement and garage workbenches, retail shelving, walk-in coolers, salons, clinics and office millwork. For Canadian renovations, it slips neatly into aluminum channels for a finished, glare-free line of light, and the 24V wiring makes long ceiling coves or a full island perimeter simple to feed. Prefer a warmer glow for living spaces? The same strip is offered as LED strip 4.8W/m 24V 30K IP66, or in the IP22 indoor version LED strip 24V 4.8W/m IP22 (50K). Need more punch? Step up to LED strip 9.6W/m 24V 48W 30K IP66. Plan your metres, pick your channel and light it up.

Built to keep working
This LED tape light is built on an 8mm wide printed circuit board with a 3oz copper thickness — a heavier copper layer than budget ribbon, which helps carry current and pull heat away from the diodes so brightness stays stable year after year. The IP66 protection code rating in this version seals the strip against dust and water jets, so it tolerates the humidity of a bathroom soffit, the dust of a shop, or the wash-downs of a commercial kitchen perimeter. With 64 LEDs per meter, the diodes sit close enough together that, once tucked into a channel with a diffuser, the result is a continuous line of light rather than a string of hot spots.

Light quality you can see
The Epistar 3528 SMD chips deliver 130 LM/W at 4.8W/M and a 120º lighting angle, spreading light wide across a wall, a backsplash or a shelf instead of punching a narrow stripe. The 5000K colour temperature of LCLS24V-24W-50K-IP66 is a daylight white — bright, clean and alert, ideal for tasks, inspection and display. What really sets it apart is the CRI 90+ rendering: skin tones, merchandise, paint samples and food all keep their true colour, which matters in a salon chair, a retail display or over a cutting board.

Wiring and installation
The strip runs on 24V DC, so it needs a compatible LED driver sized for the total wattage of your run — at 4.8W/M, do the math on your metres and leave yourself headroom. Respect the 10m maximum length per run; for longer layouts, feed multiple runs from the supply rather than daisy-chaining beyond the limit. Cut only on the marked 125mm points (every 8 LEDs) so each segment keeps a complete circuit, and plan your solder joints or connectors at those points. The strip is dimmable, which lets you pair it with a compatible dimming driver or control for cove lighting you can tune down in the evening. Mounting it in an aluminum profile with a diffuser is always the better-looking choice: it hides the diodes, protects the tape and helps dissipate heat.

Where it works and what goes with it
Think under-cabinet kitchen lighting, vanity and LED mirror backlighting, cove and tray ceilings, stair and hallway guidance, closet interiors, pantry shelves, garage and basement workbenches, retail gondolas, display cases, reception desks, restaurant millwork and signage boxes. Within the same family you can mix colour temperatures room by room: LED strip 24V 4.8W/m IP22 (27K) and LED strip 24V 4.8W/m IP22 (30K) for warm living areas, LED strip 24V 4.8W/m IP22 (40K) for a neutral white, or colour and effects with LED strip 14.4W/m 24V 72W RGB IP66.
