LED STRIP 4.8W/M - LCLS24V-24W-27K-IP66

SKU: LCLS24V-24W-27K-IP66

Brand: LEDCO

Soft, continuous light exactly where you want it — that's what this LED strip delivers. Known as LED strip lighting, LED tape, ribbon light or simply LED light strips, this 24V DC flexible strip hides under cabinets, inside coves, along stair nosings, behind headboards and in aluminum channels to turn plain surfaces into glowing architectural details. The 2700K version (SKU LCLS24V-24W-27K-IP66) gives that warm, candle-like glow people love in homes, restaurants and boutiques, and its IP66 build means humidity, splashes and dust won't cut the party short.

Under the silicone you get serious hardware: Epistar 3528 SMD chips, 64 LEDs per meter for a tight, even line of light with fewer hot spots, and a draw of just 4.8W/M (±10%) at 130 LM/W. The CRI 90+ rating makes wood grain, paint, skin tones and food look the way they should — a big deal over a kitchen counter or a display shelf. Other real numbers: 24V DC input, a 120º beam angle for smooth wall washing, an 8 mm PCB with 3 oz copper for better heat management and colour stability, a 10 m maximum run per feed, and a cut size of 125 mm (every 8 LEDs). It is dimmable, UL listed, and rated for 50 000+ hours of service.

This strip earns its place in kitchens (under upper cabinets and in toe-kicks), bathrooms and vanities, walk-in closets, basement coves, stairways, garages, home bars and covered porches, plus commercial jobs like reception desks, retail shelving, display cases and restaurant millwork — anywhere Canadian humidity and temperature swings make a sealed IP66 tape the smarter call. Need the same 4.8W/M performance in a neutral or cooler white? Look at LED strip 4.8W/M 24V 24W 30K IP66. Want more punch on the same 24V system? Built to last, built to bend
This flexible LED tape is built on an 8 mm wide printed circuit board with a 3 oz copper thickness — a detail installers appreciate, because heavier copper pulls heat away from the diodes and helps keep brightness and colour steady over long runs. The Epistar 3528 SMD chips are spaced at 64 LEDs per meter, close enough to read as a soft line of light rather than a row of dots, especially behind a frosted diffuser. The IP66 protection rating seals the strip against dust and water jets, which is why this version is chosen for kitchens, vanities, covered exteriors and any spot where wiping down or seasonal humidity is part of life.

Light quality you can actually see
At 2700K, this ribbon produces a warm white close to incandescent — flattering in bedrooms, dining rooms, hotel corridors and hospitality millwork. With CRI 90+, reds, woods and skin tones stay rich instead of washing out, which matters over cutting boards, in retail display cases and in bathroom mirrors where people do their makeup. The 120º beam angle spreads light evenly across the surface above or below the strip, and the efficiency of 130 LM/W means you get that quality without heating up your energy bill — LED tape uses a fraction of the power of halogen rope or puck lighting.

Wiring, dimming and installation
The strip runs on 24V DC, so it needs a compatible LED driver sized for the total wattage of your run — remember to calculate 4.8W per meter and keep each feed within the 10 m maximum length to avoid voltage drop at the far end. Longer installations are simply fed from both ends or split into separate circuits. Cut only on the marked points every 125 mm (8 LEDs), then solder or use a matching connector. The strip is dimmable with a compatible 24V dimming system, which is perfect for cove lighting you want bright for cleaning and low for the evening. Mounting it in an aluminum profile with a diffuser is always a good idea: it hides the diodes, protects the tape and acts as a heat sink.

Applications and related products
Think under-cabinet task light in a kitchen renovation, a glowing perimeter in a coffered basement ceiling, toe-kick and stair lighting in a new build, shelf lighting in a boutique, or a warm halo behind a bathroom mirror.
