Built to stay litThis
LED tape light is built on an 8 mm wide printed circuit board with a 3 oz copper thickness — heavier copper means better heat spreading along the run, which is what keeps brightness and colour steady year after year. The
Epistar 3528 SMD diodes are placed at 64 pieces per meter, a tight enough spacing to blend into a continuous line of light when the tape is recessed in a channel or set back behind a lip. The whole assembly carries an
IP66 protection rating, so dust and water jets are not a threat, and it is UL listed for peace of mind on inspected jobs. Rated lifespan is 50 000+ hours.
Light quality you can actually seeAt
3500K, the white sits right in the middle: warmer than an office, cleaner than a candle-lit lounge, and very forgiving on white cabinetry, quartz counters and painted drywall. The
CRI 90+ rating is the number that matters most in kitchens, bathrooms and retail displays — it renders reds, wood tones and fabrics close to how they look in daylight. Output efficiency is 130 LM/W at 4.8W/m (±10%), and the 120º beam angle throws a wide, soft wash rather than a narrow stripe, which is exactly what you want for cove lighting and under-cabinet work surfaces.

Wiring and installationThe tape operates on
24V DC, so plan a compatible low-voltage power supply sized for the total wattage of your run, plus a small margin. Respect the 10 m maximum run length per feed; for longer installations, bring power to each section rather than daisy-chaining beyond the limit, which prevents the voltage drop that makes the far end look dim. Cut only on the marked
125 mm (8 LED) points, keep the tape flat on a clean surface or inside an aluminum extrusion, and avoid tight bends over the diodes. Because it is
dimmable, pair it with a dimming system suited to 24V DC low-voltage LED loads for smooth mood control in bedrooms, dining rooms and hospitality spaces.
Where it goes and what else to look atTypical jobs: a kitchen island toe-kick, under-cabinet task lighting over a prep counter, a bedroom cove, a basement stair run, bathroom mirror backlighting, a retail shelf edge, a bar front, a reception logo wall or a hotel corridor. Contractors like having one 24V platform across a whole house so accessories and supplies stay interchangeable. Need more punch? Step up to
