A mini recessed light with a clean round face
The PK2000 family of mini recessed LED pucks comes with round, square, 1-side, 2-side and louver trims. This model has the simplest and most versatile one: a round trim in black, with the light projecting straight out of the face. Installed in a soffit, a ceiling or the underside of a shelf, it works as a tiny downlight; installed in a wall, it creates a small accent. The black finish blends into dark materials and gives a crisp, contemporary detail against light surfaces.
Warm light quality
With 125 lumens from only 1 watt, comparable to a 20-watt incandescent according to the spec sheet, this puck is ideal for accent and ambient lighting rather than general room lighting. The 3000K warm white tone is the colour many homeowners prefer for living areas, entrances and outdoor spaces, because it feels welcoming and flatters wood, brick and greenery. A CRI above 80 keeps colours faithful, the 25° projection angle concentrates the beam, and dimming lets you fine-tune the mood from a subtle glow to a brighter accent.
Installation, voltage and protection
The spec sheet lists 12/24 V DC, so this is a low-voltage fixture powered by a suitable LED driver; never connect it directly to household line voltage. For dimming, use a dimmable driver and a compatible dimmer. It installs in a 35 mm cutout (1.378 inches), easy to make in soffit panels, wood ceilings, drywall and cabinetry. With its IP67 rating, the fixture is dust-tight and protected against water, which makes it a strong candidate for bathrooms, covered porches, balconies and other damp spots. Plan driver placement and wiring before cutting, follow local electrical code, and have a qualified electrician handle the line-voltage side.
