A profile that disappears into the wall
The #315 is the ultimate in profiles that disappear completely into the wall surface. Once installed and finished with joint compound, only the line of light remains: no trim, no visible housing, just clean contour lighting. It is designed to provide downward 90° angle lighting, and its longer inner section, with a reveal 60% longer than the 310 profile, provides a greater surface area for light reflection. That optimizes safety applications in areas with poor or deficient lighting, such as corridors, stairs and entrances.
Two high-end lenses
The series offers a choice of two high-end lenses to ensure optimal light diffusion: the prime lens and the SiLens, made of flexible silicone, which can be installed with the touch of a finger. Inside, the profile is made for LED light sources 10 mm (0.394 in) or less in IP22. The spec sheet lists 8 mm sources at 1.5 W/ft, 2.93 W/ft and 4.5 W/ft with 7 colour temperatures (2,400 K to 6,200 K), and 10 mm sources at 4.4 W/ft and 5.9 W/ft RGB and 7.0 W/ft HOS, from a soft accent to a bright linear LED line, in white or in colour.
Installation in drywall
The profile gives a direct fit with standard ½ in and 5/8 in gypsum panels. It comes in 8 ft (96 in) straight sections to cut on site, and its grooves allow it to be levelled with joint compound for a seamless finish. It can be used with all type A joiners to build a solid structure: the ordering guide lists a type A straight joiner, a type A horizontal 45°/135° joiner and a type A horizontal 90° joiner, plus left and right endcaps and drywall small head screws (box of 100). Plan the driver location and wiring before closing the walls, and have line-voltage connections made by a licensed electrician.
