Modular construction, not a ribbon
Unlike a continuous LED strip light, this kit is built from 20 independent modules, each one a small rigid block housing 3 Epistar 5050 LED. The modules are joined by a 7 cm wire, which is the whole point: you are not forced into a straight line. You can run the modules around a curved sign, up and over a corner, inside a display box, or spread them out to light several small zones from one power source. The self-adhesive stripe on the back of each module makes mounting fast — clean the surface, peel, press. Each module is 8 cm long, with a stated dimension of 70*16*8.1, and the complete kit measures 3 meters end to end.
Light quality and colour
Each module produces 6600 mcd with a generous 160° beam angle, which spreads light evenly instead of throwing hot spots — ideal inside shallow cabinets, letter signs and display cases. The kit uses RGB LED modules that cycle through a full range of colours with the included remote control. The included controller or dimmer lets you set the brightness or the colour mode without rewiring anything, so the same kit can go from a subtle glow to a full-colour show.

Power, expansion and installation
The system runs on 12V DC from the included battery pack, so there is no driver to hide, no outlet to find and no extension cord to tape down. At 0.72W per module and 60 mA per module, the load stays low, which is exactly why the kit is expandable: you can add one more module pack to your start-up kit, and a single battery pack will power up to 6 meters of LED modules for a total of 120 individual LEDs. Installation is a five-minute job — lay out your modules, decide the spacing the 7 cm wires allow, stick them down, connect the battery pack, and set your mode with the remote. With the IP65 rating, dust and splashes are not a concern, which helps in garages, sheds, boats and outdoor seasonal displays that still have to survive a Canadian evening.
Where it earns its keep, and documentation
Retailers use these modules inside jewellery cases, shelving units and window displays where running wire would be visible or simply impossible. Contractors and sign makers drop them into channel letters, lightboxes and temporary booths. At home, they handle closets, pantries, under-cabinet accents, stair nooks, model railroads, cosplay builds, parade floats and holiday decor. Because the kit is cordless, it is also a favourite for rentals, condos and heritage buildings where you cannot drill or fish a wire through a wall. The technical PDF for the RGB module bundle is available in the Documentation tab of this page — check it before you plan your layout so you can confirm module dimensions, voltage and current for your project.
