Built for backlighting, not just strip runs
An LED module is essentially a small sealed pod holding 3 LEDs, joined to its neighbours by a flexible wire. That simple architecture is why sign shops prefer modules over a continuous LED light strip for anything with depth or shape: you control the spacing, you turn corners cleanly, and you place light exactly where the face of the sign needs it. Each module in this set is self-adhesive and can be twisted or angled to follow lettering, logos and curved returns. With 7 cm of wire between modules, you decide the pitch — tight for saturated brightness in small letters, spread out for even wash across a large light box.
Light quality and output
Each module produces a luminous intensity of 6600 mcd through a 160° beam angle. That very wide spread is the key spec for backlighting: it lets you mount modules closer to the diffuser face without printing bright dots through the acrylic. The cool white light gives maximum contrast and a clean, modern read on white or coloured vinyl faces.

Electrical and installation notes
These modules run on 12V DC constant voltage, so they need a 12V DC power supply — this listing is the module only. Add up your modules at 0.72W each to size the supply, and keep some headroom so the driver isn't running at its absolute limit. You can chain up to 5 sets of 20 modules on a single circuit, for a total of 300 LEDs stretching to as much as 15 meters when fully extended; beyond that, run a second circuit. Clean and degrease the surface before pressing the adhesive backing down, and where the substrate is textured, powder-coated or aluminum, add a dab of silicone or a small screw-down clip for long-term hold. The IP65 rating means the modules handle dust and water jets, which is reassuring inside signage cabinets and humid environments.
Where they get used, and documentation
Typical projects include channel letters, illuminated storefront and pylon sign faces, light boxes, menu boards, real estate and retail display panels, trade show booths, backlit reception logos, display cases, and custom millwork such as floating shelves or backlit bar fronts. Contractors also use them for shallow coves where a taller LED strip profile won't fit. The Documentation tab on this page includes the technical PDF for the LED module series, with the full electrical table you'll want on hand when sizing your power supply and planning your layout. Lay out your modules on the bench first, confirm the spacing against your diffuser depth, then stick them down — it's the fastest way to a clean, evenly lit result.
