Built for high-output duty
The A23 27W dimmable E26 LED light bulb uses a plastic construction and a classic pear-shaped A23 profile, a bigger body than a regular household lamp that gives the internal LED boards and heat management room to breathe. At 163 mm length × 85 mm diameter it is a substantial bulb, so measure your shade, harp or fixture opening before ordering. The standard E26 medium base means no adapters and no rewiring: unscrew the old halogen or incandescent, screw this in, done.
Light quality you can work under
With 3200 lumens from just 27W, this bulb is rated as a good replacement for a 250W halogen, which is exactly why people put it in garages, workshops and tall-ceiling fixtures where one socket has to light a whole zone. The Cool White 4000K colour temperature reads as clean neutral daylight-style white: paint colours, wiring, fabrics and paperwork all look honest under it, without the blue edge of higher kelvin options. The wide 200 degree beam angle throws light sideways and downward, so you get soft, even coverage in open shades, barn-style pendants and utility fixtures rather than a single bright circle on the floor.
Electrical, dimming and installation
The bulb runs on 120V through its E26 socket and is dimmable from 10 to 100% with standard wall dimmers, so you can knock it down for evening use and push it back up for detailed work. For best results, use one dimmer type throughout a circuit and load the circuit with similar bulbs; mixing many different bulb types on one dimmer is the usual cause of flicker. This model is not intended for enclosed fixtures — trapped heat shortens the life of any LED — so choose open or ventilated fixtures in dry indoor locations. The wide operating range of -40°C to 45°C makes cold starts in an unheated garage a non-issue.

Where it earns its keep, and the paperwork
Concrete examples: a two-car garage with two ceiling fixtures that finally lets you see under the hood; a basement workshop where the saw table needs real light; a stairwell fixture in a triplex; a retail stockroom where staff pull inventory all day; a church hall or community centre pendant that has to cover a lot of floor from one point; a farm or storage building that swings between freezing and warm. For homeowners, the dimming range means the same bulb can do bright cleaning light and low evening ambience.
