A19 9W LED GROW LIGHT

A19 9W LED GROW LIGHT

SKU: MTLH5001

Brand: LED MONTREAL

Give your plants the light they're missing all winter long. The A19 9W LED Grow Light from LED Montreal (SKU MTLH5001) is a screw-in LED grow bulb — what growers also call a plant light bulb, horticultural bulb or indoor grow lamp — that drops into any standard lamp, table lamp, clamp light or track head and turns it into a real growing station. It delivers the red and blue blend that seeds, seedlings, herbs, houseplants and flowering plants actually use, so you're not counting on a grey January window to keep your basil alive.

The secret is the spectrum: 450nm blue creates ideal conditions for germination and leafy growth, while 650nm red drives photosynthesis and flowering. It draws only 9W with Luminus LED components, delivers a PPF of 9 µmol/s and spreads light over a wide 220° beam angle, so one bulb covers a whole cluster of pots instead of a single leaf. It fits a standard E26 socket, runs on AC110 ~ 130V, measures 11 cm long x 6 cm wide, and is rated for 15,000 hours of life. It is cULus certified, operates from -20 to 50 °C, and is designed for damp locations (40 to 85% relative humidity). Note that it is not dimmable — and it doesn't need to be, since grow lighting is all about consistent daily cycles.

Use it in a kitchen herb corner, a seed-starting tray in the garage, a basement plant shelf, a home office jungle, a florist's display, a restaurant's fresh herb station or a small greenhouse — anywhere Canadian winters cut daylight short. When you're pairing it with natural sunlight, light your plants a maximum of 8 hours in a row, then give them 4 hours off; in a room with no daylight at all, run it up to 16 consecutive hours before the dark period. Perfect for residential and commercial projects — pick up your LED grow light bulb and start growing year-round.

Built for real growing, sized for real lamps
The A19 9W LED Grow Light keeps the familiar A19 bulb shape, measuring 11 cm long x 6 cm wide with a standard E26 base. That means no special fixture, no rack to assemble, no ballast: it threads into the lamps you already own. Inside, LED Montreal uses Luminus LED components, a choice that shows up in consistent spectral output over the bulb's 15,000-hour life. Because it's an LED source, it consumes very little energy and produces minimal heat — a big deal when the bulb sits close to tender seedlings that a hot incandescent or halogen lamp would scorch.

The light plants actually absorb
Plants don't use every colour of light equally. This bulb concentrates its output on the two peaks chlorophyll responds to most: 450nm blue, which creates ideal conditions for germination and compact, leafy vegetative growth, and 650nm red, which promotes photosynthesis and flowering. The result is the deep pink-purple glow growers recognize instantly. With a PPF of 9 µmol/s and a wide 220° beam angle, the light spills outward instead of firing down in a narrow cone, so a single bulb can serve a tray of starts, a shelf of herbs or a group of potted plants rather than one specimen.

Installation, cycles and compatibility
Installation is as simple as changing a bulb: power off the fixture, screw the grow bulb into any E26 socket on a 110-130V circuit, and aim the lamp so the light reaches the whole canopy. Since the bulb is not dimmable, skip dimmer switches and use a simple on/off switch or, better, a plug-in timer — plants respond to rhythm, not intensity tweaks. Used together with sunlight, light for a maximum of 8 hours in a row, then turn it off for 4 hours. In a windowless room, run it up to 16 consecutive hours before the dark period. Its damp-location rating (40 to 85% relative humidity) and -20 to 50 °C operating range make it comfortable in humid propagation areas, garages and three-season spaces, and cULus certification means it's ready for residential and commercial installations across Canada.

Where it shines and what's in the Documentation tab
Think of the places where daylight runs out: a basement seed-starting bench in March, a kitchen herb garden above the sink, a bright-less condo living room full of monsteras and ficus, a classroom germination project, a florist's cooler-side display, a café's fresh herb counter or a corner of a small greenhouse that the sun never quite reaches. Several bulbs in a row of clamp lamps or track heads will cover a long shelf economically, and the low heat output lets you keep them close to the leaves. Full details are in the Documentation tab, where you'll find the technical PDF spec sheet for the A19 9W LED Grow Light with all dimensions, spectrum values and certification information.
