Halogen GU10 spots are notorious for burning hot, burning out and driving up the hydro bill. These 7W GU10 SMD LED bulbs use surface-mount LED technology on a Luminus LED chip, paired with a body sized at 50 mm diameter x 53 mm length with pins — the standard GU10 format, so nothing about your fixture has to change. The familiar twist-and-lock base drops into your existing pot lights, track heads and spot fixtures, and the pack of two means you can do a pair of fixtures at a time or keep a spare on the shelf.
Light quality and beam control
Each lamp produces 500 lm from only 7W, a genuine stand-in for a 50W halogen. The 40° beam angle is the sweet spot for general lighting: wide enough to wash a counter, a hallway or a seating area evenly, tight enough to keep a bit of accent character on artwork or shelving. Two colour temperatures are offered so you can match the mood of the room — Bright White 3000K for warm, cozy living spaces, or Daylight 5000K for kitchens, workshops, bathrooms and retail displays where you want crisp, clean rendering.
Electrical, dimming and installation
These bulbs run directly on 120V line voltage through the GU10 socket — no transformer, no driver, no rewiring. They are dimmable from 10% to 100%, so you keep full control from a bright working level right down to a soft evening glow; always pair them with a dimmer rated for LED loads and check the dimmer's minimum load when you're only running one or two bulbs on a circuit. Installation is as simple as it gets: cut the power, let the old halogen cool, press and twist the bulb out, insert the pins of the new LED, twist to lock. Handle the LED by its body rather than the lens, and you're done in seconds per fixture.
