Real CREE COB technology
The heart of this lamp is a genuine CREE COB LED chip. COB stands for Chip On Board: many LED dies are mounted together on a single substrate and covered by one phosphor layer, which creates a single bright emitting surface instead of a cluster of visible dots. The practical result is a cleaner beam, a single crisp shadow and a smoother pool of light on whatever you are lighting — a countertop, a painting, a product shelf. The CREE name matters here, because the market is full of PAR20 LED bulbs built around counterfeit or imitation chips that fade, shift colour or die early. This one is powered by industry-leading CREE chips and is part of LED MONTREAL's high-end line.
Light quality and beam control
The 40° beam angle is the sweet spot between a narrow spot and a wide flood: tight enough to highlight an object or wash a feature wall, wide enough to light a walkway or a kitchen island without dark gaps between fixtures. Choose Warm White 3000K for a cozy residential feel in living rooms, bedrooms and restaurants, or Cool White 5000K for a crisp, alert light in kitchens, garages, workshops and retail. Output is 500 lm in Bright White and 530 lm in Daylight, from only 8W of consumption — a good replacement for a 60W halogen lamp, with dramatically less heat and far less energy drawn from your panel.

Installation and compatibility
Installation could not be simpler: this is an E26 screw-in bulb, the standard medium base used across North America, and it runs directly on 110-120V line voltage — no driver, no transformer, no adapter. It fits most standard fixtures designed for PAR20 lamps: recessed can housings, track heads, monopoint spots, adjustable gimbal trims, picture lights and outdoor soffit or porch fixtures. Because it is dimmable from 100% down to 10%, pair it with a dimmer designed for LED loads and respect the dimmer's minimum and maximum load ratings; on a circuit with several bulbs, keep all the lamps identical for the smoothest, flicker-free dimming curve. The -10~50° working temperature range means it handles an unheated garage or a covered entry as well as a warm ceiling cavity.
Applications and documentation
Think of a kitchen renovation where a dozen existing pot lights get new dimmable LED downlights in an afternoon, a boutique where 5000K spots make merchandise colours read true, a restaurant dining room dimmed to 10% for evening service, or a contractor re-lamping an office corridor and cutting both energy use and ladder time thanks to the 30 000 hour rated life. This bulb is rated for commercial use indoors in dry or damp environments, and outdoors where it is not directly exposed to water or harsh weather — a real consideration for covered Canadian entryways.
