Built to replace halogen, properly
The 7W PAR20 Dimmable SMD LED Light Bulb uses SMD LED technology on a compact PAR20 body measuring 63 mm diameter X 81 mm length — the same familiar shape as the halogen reflector lamp it replaces, so it drops straight into existing recessed cans, track heads and adjustable spots. Inside, the light source is built with Luminus LED chips, chosen for consistent output over the long haul. Because LED runs far cooler than halogen, you avoid scorched trims, heat-stressed sockets and the safety concerns that come with hot lamps close to shelving, artwork or fabric.
Light quality and beam control
This model produces 550 lm at Daylight 5000K, a crisp white that keeps whites looking white and makes detail, texture and colour contrast pop. The 40° beam angle is the useful middle ground: tighter than a flood, wider than a narrow spot, so it lights a work surface, a display shelf or a walkway without harsh edges. Space several heads along a ceiling and the beams overlap into smooth, even coverage — no scalloping, no dark gaps.

Electrical, dimming and installation
Installation is as simple as it gets: cut the power, unscrew the old lamp, thread in the E26 medium base bulb, restore power. It operates on 120V, the standard residential and light-commercial supply, with no driver box or transformer to add. Dimming runs from 10% to 100%, so you can drop the room to a soft glow for a movie or push it to full output for cleaning and cooking. For the smoothest result, use an LED-rated dimmer and keep the same model of bulb on a given circuit — mixing lamp types on one dimmer is the usual cause of flicker or an uneven low end. The -40~45° working temperature range means it also performs in unheated garages, cold entryways and chilly storage rooms where halogen and some compact fluorescents struggle.
Where it works and what's in the docs
Think kitchen island spots, hallway pot lights, basement ceilings and home-office task light; then think retail: jewellery cases, clothing racks, bakery counters, salon stations, gallery walls and reception desks where a clean Daylight 5000K beam makes products and finishes look their best. With a rated 25 000 hours of life, fixtures mounted high or in hard-to-reach stairwells stop being a maintenance chore.
