A 45° corner channel built for real installations
The LUX2400 is a surface-mounted aluminum profile with a 45° body, designed to seat flat into an inside corner and project light out at an angle rather than washing the surface right behind it. Extruded aluminum gives the channel its rigidity — it keeps long runs straight, it protects the tape from knocks, dust and fingers, and it gives you a solid, repeatable line instead of a wavy strip stuck directly to drywall or melamine. Because the housing carries the strip, you also get a much more serviceable installation: if a tape ever needs to be replaced, the channel stays exactly where it is and the new strip drops into the same track.
Light quality and heat management
Two things ruin a strip install: visible dots and heat. The 45 degree angle of this profile distributes the LED lighting over a broader radius, softening the beam and reducing the harsh line you get from a bare tape. For a true dotless effect inside the channel, use strips with 300 + LEDs/m — the denser the emitters, the smoother the line of light reads through the opening. On the thermal side, the aluminum body acts as a heatsink and effectively dissipates the heat the strip emits while it runs, which is exactly what you want for coves and closed-in cabinetry where air movement is limited.

Installation and compatibility
Plan your run first: measure the corner, decide where the power feed enters, and lay out your 8-foot bars end to end so the joints land where they will be least visible. The profile is held in place either with the optional aluminum clips — screwed to the substrate, then the channel snaps in — or with our sturdy 2-sided tape for surfaces where you would rather not drill, such as finished cabinetry or tile backsplashes. Then slide in your LED strip: the channel accepts IP20 tape for dry indoor work, IP65+ for damp or splash-prone areas, and certain IP67 strips. Matching end caps close off the extremities for a finished, professional edge. Note that in the options of this product, the number of caps and clips you request is multiplied by the number of bars ordered, so order to your bar count.
Where it pays off, and documentation
Homeowners use the LUX2400 for kitchen under-cabinet lighting, ceiling cove and crown moulding accents, stairwells, walk-in closets, basement bars and home theatre perimeters. Contractors and small businesses use it for retail shelving and display cases, reception desks, restaurant bar fronts, corridor accents and workshop benches — installations where the light must look built-in, not added on. In colder Canadian basements and garages, the aluminum housing also keeps the tape flat and protected over the long haul. The technical PDF for the 8 Foot 45 Degree Aluminum Profile for LED Strip (LUX2400) is available in the Documentation tab with the model, type, length, width and height so you can confirm clearances before you cut or order.
