Built around a round aluminum tube
The SUTUBE-1M is a 30 mm diameter cylindrical LED profile designed from the start for LED strip lighting. The body combines a tube cover that diffuses the light over 280 degrees with an internal 15 mm aluminum base that carries the strip. That base is the workhorse of the assembly: it draws heat away from the LEDs and provides the rigid spine that the suspension hardware holds. White end caps close both ends so the finished piece reads as a proper fixture rather than a DIY project.
Light quality and the 280-degree spread
A flat channel throws light in one direction only. This round LED tube profile spreads it across 280 degrees: downlight onto your table or counter plus a soft uplight onto the ceiling. The diffusing cover blends the individual diodes of the strip into one continuous line, so you see a glowing tube rather than hot spots. The wider the spread, the softer the shadows on a dining table, a desk or a retail display, and the more comfortable the light feels in a room.
Installation and compatibility
Installation is straightforward: fix the included suspension kit to a standard ceiling, set your hanging height, mount the LED strip on the aluminum extrusion base, slide the tube cover into place and cap the ends. Because the base is a true extruded profile, the strip stays flat inside instead of peeling away. The profile is made for 2835 high output LED strip; pick the colour temperature and voltage your project calls for and size your driver accordingly. Running several tubes on one circuit? Plan the driver capacity before you hang them, and leave a little slack in the suspension cables so you can level each tube once it is up.
