Built from extruded aluminum, made to last
The LUX750 is an extruded aluminum profile designed as the permanent home for your LED strip lighting. Aluminum does two jobs at once here: it gives the installation a rigid, perfectly straight body over the full length, and it acts as a heat sink. LED tape generates heat along its whole run, and heat is what shortens the life of the diodes. Bonding your strip to the base of an aluminum channel lets that heat spread out through the metal instead of building up under the adhesive. The U shape (surface) design means the channel sits on the surface you mount it to — ceiling, underside of a cabinet, wall, shelf, bulkhead or inside a millwork reveal — and the open top receives the strip and the diffuser.

Light quality and diffusion
A bare strip shows every diode as a bright dot. Set inside the LUX750 with a diffuser on top, those dots blend into one continuous band of light. The 29 mm width is wider than a standard LED strip channel, so the light has more space to mix before it exits the lens — that means a softer, wider beam and far less visual hot-spotting, especially with high-density tape of 120 LEDs per metre or more. An opaline-style diffuser completely hides the strip when the light is off and keeps the fixture looking like a clean white line in the ceiling or under the cabinet, day and night. The trade-off with any diffuser is a small loss of output, which is normal and well worth it for a dot-free result.
Installation and electrical notes
Installation is straightforward: measure your run, cut the profile to length with a fine-tooth blade or mitre saw, and fasten it with screws or mounting clips through the base. Peel the backing on your LED tape and press it into the channel, keeping the strip centred so the diffuser seats properly. Always respect the cut marks on your strip, and plan where the power feed and any connectors will enter the channel — leaving a small notch at one end keeps the wiring tidy and invisible. Because the profile is aluminum, it can be drilled, notched and mitred at corners for L-shaped or squared runs. The LED strip itself and its low-voltage driver or power supply are what determine the electrical specs of the finished installation — the profile is the housing, so match your driver to the wattage per metre and total length of the tape you install.
Applications and documentation
Concrete examples: a continuous LED ceiling light strip around a living room cove; under-cabinet task lighting in a kitchen so the countertop is lit without glare; a lit shelf in a retail boutique; a garage or workshop bench that finally has even light; an office reception wall with a clean glowing line; stairwells, closets and basement bulkheads. The 8-foot length is ideal for long architectural runs with fewer visible joints, and several sections can be aligned end to end for walls and perimeters.
