Built to last, built to aimThe LUNA Designer Series was evolved to be a flexible, low-glare and aesthetically pleasing luminaire, and this square gimbal version shows exactly why. The housing is a durable
airtight aluminum body with an adjustable regressed gimbal that tilts up to 40°, so you can point the beam at a wall, a countertop or a piece of art long after the drywall is closed. An anodized blue heat sink sits behind the LED module to maximize airflow and keep the light source cool, which is what protects colour consistency and lifespan over the years. The white square trim measures 4 3/8" (111 mm) across with a 3 3/8" (85 mm) inner square, stands 4 3/16" (106 mm) deep, and drops into a Ø 3 5/8" (92 mm) hole cut.
Light quality you can actually seeThis general application fixture uses an LED module that maintains uniform intensity, producing
up to 1160 lumens with a typical
CRI of 95+ — the kind of colour rendering that makes white cabinetry read white and skin tones look healthy. The on-fixture
colour selectable switch offers five CCT settings (2700 K, 3000 K, 3500 K, 4000 K, 5000 K), letting one SKU cover a warm living room and a crisp workspace. Lumen output by setting: 1040 lm at 2700 K, 1090 lm at 3000 K, 1135 lm at 3500 K, 1160 lm at 4000 K and 1145 lm at 5000 K. The lens delivers a controlled 38° beam spread, and the regressed optic pushes the source deep into the trim to cut glare in sightlines.
Driver, wiring and dimmingPower comes from an extruded aluminum hardwire box housing a 12 watt (300 mA) dimmable Class II electronic LED driver with 100-135V AC, 50/60 Hz input and a power factor greater than 0.90. An 18" (457 mm) FT6 rated cable with a DC 2.1 connector links driver to fixture and is approved for use in plenums and suspended ceilings. Three
Quick Connect push-in terminals make wiring fast on site.
Dimming runs from 100% to 10% and is compatible with industry standard forward-phase / reverse-phase TRIAC/ELV dimmers (contact factory for the list of compatible dimmers). Two spring loaded clips let the fixture attach to virtually any ceiling material, and the unit operates from -20°C to 40°C (-4°F to 104°F).

Where it works, and what pairs with itBecause it is airtight, wet location rated and approved for direct contact with insulation, this
square LED pot light handles the ceilings Canadian homes are actually built with: insulated attics, sloped ceilings, covered entries, bathrooms and shower zones. On the commercial side, it's a smart pick for boutiques, restaurants, dental and medical offices, hotel corridors and office lobbies where a small aperture and high CRI matter. Accessories such as pre-mounting plates, new construction plates, mounting kits and vapour barrier extenders are sold separately — a common request in searches for
recessed lighting vapour barrier solutions. For consistent design across a whole floor, mix this gimbal with the fixed square LUNA in
white,
black or
brushed nickel, or with the
single-CCT regressed gimbal version. The full technical PDF spec sheet is available in the Documentation tab for your submittals and permit package.
