Electrical and installation
The fixture is fed by an extruded aluminum hardwire box housing a 12 watt (300 mA) dimmable Class II electronic LED driver with 100-135V AC input. An 18" (457 mm) FT6 rated cable with a DC 2.1 connector links the driver to the fixture and is approved for use in plenums and suspended ceilings, so you can tuck the box neatly above a T-bar grid. Three quick-connect push-in terminals speed up wiring, and two spring-loaded clips attach the housing to any ceiling material — drywall, plaster or panel. Because the body is airtight and approved for direct contact with insulation, it can go straight into an insulated attic ceiling; accessories such as vapour barrier extenders, pre-mounting plates and new construction mounting kits exist for these 3 1/2" LUNA LED fixtures and are sold separately.
