The airtight aluminum body is paired with an adjustable regressed gimbal, so the LED sits deep inside the housing instead of sitting flush with the ceiling plane — that recess is what kills glare and gives you that discreet, architectural look. Electrical and installation
The fixture ships with an extruded aluminum hardwire box housing a 12 watt (300mA) dimmable Class II electronic LED driver with 100-135V AC input. An 18" (457 mm) FT6 rated cable with a DC 2.1 connector links the driver to the fixture and is approved for use in plenums and suspended ceilings — handy for commercial retrofits. Three quick connect push-in terminals speed up wiring, and two spring loaded clips attach to any ceiling material. Cut a Ø 3 5/8" (92 mm) hole, feed the driver above the ceiling, snap the housing in and set the tilt. Because it is airtight and approved for direct contact with insulation, it suits attic-adjacent ceilings; for new construction or remodel work, vapour barrier extenders, pre-mounting plates and new construction plates for 3 1/2" LUNA LED fixtures are listed as accessories and sold separately.
