Built for backlighting, not guesswork
An LED module is essentially a mini light engine: three LED chips on a small board, sealed and wired to its neighbours. That construction is what makes this kit so useful compared to a fixed-length tape. Because each of the 20 modules is 8 cm long and joined by 7 cm of wire, you decide the spacing — tight rows for a bright, saturated light box, wider spacing for a large panel where you only need a soft wash. The chain can be twisted, curved and routed around corners to follow the shape of channel letters or a custom cabinet, and the self-adhesive backing holds each module in place while you work.
Light output and colour
Each module delivers 6600 mcd with a broad 160° beam angle, which is exactly what you want a few inches behind a diffusing face: the wide spread overlaps from module to module and evens out the brightness so your graphics read cleanly instead of showing bright dots. You choose between warm white, which flatters wood, brick and hospitality spaces, and cool white, which makes white acrylic, logos and retail signage pop. Pick one colour per project and keep the whole sign consistent.
Electrical and installation details
These modules run on 12V DC in constant voltage mode and pull 60 mA each, or 0.72W per module. Add up your modules to size your power supply, and remember you can link up to 4 sets of 20 modules on a single circuit — 240 LEDs in total. Keep polarity consistent from module to module, test the string before you close up a sign face or a cabinet, and clean the surface well so the adhesive grips. An IP65 rating means the modules are built to shrug off dust and water jets, which is reassuring inside a sign housing or a humid display area.

Where they go to work, and what's in the docs
Sign shops use them for channel letters, lobby logos and illuminated storefront panels; retailers use them behind menu boards, shelving and display cases; homeowners tuck them into a bar back-panel, a stairwell niche, a home-theatre soffit or a translucent onyx countertop. Contractors like that one kit covers 3 meters and that four kits can be daisy-chained for a full storefront sign. The technical spec sheet for the module family is available in the Documentation tab of this page, so you can check the electrical figures and dimensions before you order your power supply. If you're comparing this with indoor LED strip lights, choose modules whenever your surface is deep, irregular or wider than a strip can evenly light.
