An all-in-one fixture, not just a tube
Unlike a retrofit lamp that slides into an old fluorescent fixture, the T8IN48-4000 is an integrated LED T8 tube: the 108 LED chips, the driver and the frosted diffuser are built into a single unit. You simply clip it in place, connect the power cord to your AC circuit and switch it on. With no ballast to replace and no old fixture to rewire, it is a quick way to modernize a garage or a workshop.
Light quality
With 1,800 lumens from only 18W, this LED shop light puts plenty of light on your workbench, your shelves or your parking space. The natural white 4,000K colour temperature is crisp without being harsh, the CRI of 85+ renders colours well, and the 120-degree lighting angle combined with the frosted diffuser gives a wide, even spread with softer shadows. It is also an easy way to reduce energy use compared with older fluorescent tubes.
Electrical and installation details
The integrated driver supports 100 to 277 V AC, so the same fixture works on residential circuits and on commercial 277V lighting circuits. Each tube comes with a power cord for direct connection to your high-voltage AC circuit and a complete clip kit for mounting. Need a longer run? Interconnect up to 10 fixtures together with the provided linking cables, or connect the tubes directly one into another with the included connector. For plug-in use, a standard 120V plug is available separately. Always follow local electrical codes and have hardwired connections made by a licensed electrician.
Applications and documentation
Use it as a garage light, a workshop light over the bench, a basement or laundry room fixture, closet and storage lighting, or as a linkable LED tube light in retail back rooms, warehouses and utility rooms. With an operating range of -20°C to +45°C, it handles cool garages as well as warm mechanical rooms. ETL certified for Canada and the USA, it suits residential and commercial projects.
