Two light sources on one tapeWhat sets this kit apart from basic
RGB LED strip products is the dedicated white channel. Standard colour tape creates "white" by mixing red, green and blue, which almost always looks cold, greenish or pinkish on walls and millwork. Here, separate 3000K warm white diodes sit on the same flexible circuit board as the colour diodes, so your everyday light is a genuine warm white and your accent light is full colour. You can run white only, colour only, or layer the two for tinted warm scenes — one run of
RGBW LED tape, one power supply, one control system.
Construction and cuttingThe tape is built on a flexible circuit board with an adhesive backing, designed to follow real architecture: inside corners of a cove, the curve of a bulkhead, the front edge of a floating shelf. Cut marks along the strip let you shorten a run to fit exactly, and the 15 m length gives you plenty of material for a whole floor of accent lighting or several shorter zones. For the best-looking result, install the strip inside an
aluminum channel with a diffuser: the diffuser hides the individual diodes so you see a clean line of light instead of dots, the extrusion protects the tape from knocks and dust, and the aluminum acts as a heat sink — better thermal management helps preserve brightness and colour consistency over the life of the installation.

Installation and electrical notesPlan the layout before you peel anything. Measure the run, mark your cut points, and decide where the power supply will live — it needs to stay accessible in a ventilated spot, not buried behind sealed drywall or stuffed into an airtight cavity. Wipe the mounting surface with alcohol and let it dry so the adhesive bonds for the long haul; on rough, dusty or painted-yesterday surfaces, mechanical clips or an aluminum channel are the safer bet. Keep the controller within easy reach for programming, and leave a little slack at connection points so nothing pulls on the solder pads. As always in Canada, follow local electrical code requirements and have a licensed electrician handle any permanent connection to building wiring.
Applications and related kitsHomeowners use this kit for cove and tray ceilings, under-cabinet and toe-kick lighting, staircases, headboards, home bars and theatre rooms. Contractors like it for condo handover packages and basement finishing, while small businesses put it behind reception desks, along retail shelving, under bar counters and around salon mirrors — colour for the brand or the season, warm white for everyday service.
